Braves trade Francoeur in 3 team deal

I think Knucksie's point is that there are posters who would disparage Coppy for going with the Bleu Cheese instead of the Raspberry Vinaigrette.

what an idiot doesn't he know how fattening bleu cheese is? and he wants to call out kemp for weight...maybe he should look in the mirror. this is a salad. it's not meant to be unhealthy. but guess what? when you use bleu cheese, you're making it that. i don't trust his judgement at all after this, and certainly don't trust him to get our players into shape. i'm sorry but i don't understand this one at all. if you can't even correctly choose salad dressing, how are you going to handle more complex things like choosing players in the draft, which guys to sign to a contract, etc? i'm considering not being a fan anymore. this is absurd.

You're forgetting that he should start using Rogaine as well. I mean, Theo has great hair. How are we supposed to compete with that? We really went downhill in the hair department when Wren was fired.

You're a free agent and go to meet with two teams. One team's GM has beautiful hair, the other's doesn't have any. Who are you choosing? It's obvious to apparently everyone except Coppy. No one is going to want to sign here.

The thing on Moore is that he's a man playing amongst boys in the lower minors. That doesn't mean he can't play or that he won't be productive, but I take his stat line with a shaker full of salt.

It's true that you can't count on that production to remain the same as he advances but that's more a question of skills than of tools. He's shown he has power and he's shown he has speed. Whether he'll develop the skills to keep those tools translating into production is the question. However, when you don't have the tools you don't have anything to translate into production.

I think that's where we differ. Given his age and experience, I think Moore is in a better position to apply his tools--whatever level they are at--than younger, less seasoned players.

One statistical measure that really gets overlooked in the assessment of prospects is the standard deviation in talent in given leagues. The lower you go, the more likely the greater standard deviation. You could be facing the next Sandy Koufax one night and the next night, you'll be facing a guy who was drafted because he was the third cousin of the step-sister of the regional crosschecker and won't get out of Low A ball. A guy like Moore will feast in that environment because he is well-schooled and won't miss mistakes. I'm not ripping on the guy. He has had a great year statistically and my guess is he's slated for AA next year because we don't have a guy currently in Carolina who can fill that role. Brad Hawpe was a little on the senior side of High A and he turned out to be a decent player. Maybe Moore can take the same path.

very important piece is missing. what is said dressing being used for..

Wings.. iceberg lettuce.. mixed greens.. chicken in various states.. How can I properly show my rage if I am not informed..

on all of those you should still take BC

Of course you wouldn't be, but it is kind of surprising that you didn't inform the Greater Chop Country community how the prospect sucks. Maybe nothing's turned up on Fangraphs yet?

I am not sure we need to go to Fangraphs to know these guys are not so good. it was Frenchy for gods sakes.

It is odd that Coppy said earlier they wouldn't trade Frenchy unless the return was significant. Since this return is certainly not significant, the move must have been made to get Frenchy some ABs on a contender after Fatt Kemp came in and took all the ABs Frenchy was getting earlier in the season.
