I know we're playing well, but I want to see mallex and Ruiz.
Agreed. We've already seen what we need to see with Adonis. You won't hear any of the homers talk about it, but he has been back to his typical sub-.300 OBP self over the last 2-3 weeks, yet he is still inexplicably occupying the #2 hole.
What we actually need to see is Ruiz, so yeah, get him in there and move Swanson to the 2 hole already.

To me this is a sign that snitker thinks he's still in play for the job, so he's trying to win every game like his future depends on it
Is it a requirement to look like a member of Soundgarden in order to pitch in the Mets rotation?

Sometimes they bring a prospect up in September to get acquainted with MLB life and as a reward for their hard work. Ruiz otherwise would be sitting at home. There's a lot he can learn just by being around the other players and coaches.
Has anybody looked the number Chip mentioned after Ender's hit? If I heard him right, he said hits in 54 of his last 56 - can't possibly be right.
If it is, that's closer than I ever imagined anyone coming to DiMaggio. Waaaaay closer.
53 out of last 57 games he started he has a hit

And absolutely no one ANYWHERE has noticed or mentioned that. Really hard to wrap my mind around that - can't recall ANY of the other hitters who even got in the ballpark where Joe D's streak resides came anywhere near that kind of run.
Garcia tired of this Ruiz talk haha
