Potential 2016 Offseason Targets

Would love to get some opinions on what it would take to acquire Quintana from the Sox? As in actual prospects...

Would this be sufficient?

White Sox receive:

Joey Wentz
Chris Ellis
Braxton Davidson

Braves receive:

Jose Quintana
Jhoandro Alfaro

I think it would take a package along the lines of Fried/Weigel/Mauricio/Camargo

When someone disagrees with Enscheff, his only reply is "you're a little b*tch who doesn't know anything" instead of actual substance. I think someone has a very lonely home life.

Anybody, who used to post over at Scout. should've known better and used instant ignore to the more obnoxious posters after the mass migration over to this forum.

There may be some cause and effect there.

Although his time spent as a nuclear physicist, chief statistician for Chop Country and male porn star fills the time, he's still...empty inside.

Uh, he plays cornhole at BBQs. His life is full of manly, exciting things.

Anyway, he's a turd, but he's right on a Quintana deal. Davidson and Ellis don't move the meter in a deal like that, and Wentz is a nice piece but not nearly enough to pull an established starter with years of control left at relatively cheap cost. The Fried/Weigel deal above is intriguing but probably still not enough.

BBQ cornhole trash talking was a tame example of something that would make you sensitive types cry.

Something like coming to open sparring on Friday nights at the local MMA gym would probably make most of you sensitive guys soil yourselves. You wouldn't even be able to step through the door without crying about how mean the guys inside are.

Anywho...folks that have expectations along the lines of players like Quintana and Sale are going to be pretty disappointed this offseason. The Braves certainly have the prospect capital to get players like that, but doing so would undo all the rebuilding work they just spent the last 2-3 years doing.

The only guy with any real value the Braves will likely trade is one of Inciarte or Mallex since they are redundant. So your trade idea for an impact player doesn't involve one of those guys, your trade scenario is not realistic. If Quintana could be had for a package centered around Inciarte it would make some sense, but I don't think the ChiSox would exchange a 4 year player for another 4 year player.

four or five different posters said that Wentz/Davidson/Ellis is not enough.. just that they did it without sounding like a pompous ass..

hahahaha oh my god this guy can't be serious

I don't enjoy sparring and MMA is boring as hell, so I wouldn't be anywhere close to that gym... what a terrible Friday night.

Right, a sensitive guy like you would spend it curled up on the couch with a bottle of wine watching chick flicks. Yay!

If I'm with my girlfriend, drinking wine on the couch sounds great.

Man, I hate being such a big sensitive sissy!!!

I am so glad I don't feel the need to prove how much of a man I am to a bunch of relative strangers on the internet. That's gotta be a miserable life.
