I have concerns for the future of our children. I think history is showing I have a reasonable basis for my views. If we start admitting what the real issues are we can get out in front of it and stop damage before it happens.

are you concerned the future of our children that we now have an education secretary that has no idea how public schools function.

Yreah, let's have a conversation around the future of our education system. That does need addressing.
It appears the "right" has an agenda of "replace and repeal" for public education as well as health care

Status quo on education is what brought us to this necessary crossroads on how we educate our children. I'm glad that changes are being considered as opposed to just throwing money in the pocket of union leaders.

Oh, it wasn't those things?

It is the decaying infrastructure of our inner cities due to a non exsistant tax base
Yet, we still have citizens with children living in those cities.
Flint Michigan has not had drinking water in years

I think history does show us what happens when the have's completely abandon the have nots.

If we do face these issues, we can address what it will take to raise a new generation of low income citizens that don't feel abandoned

Pretty far down the list is the threat of a maybe might refugee attack or people coming to USA to pick strawberries

That is easy to say. Considering making changes is a nice sounding goal.
I am not comfortable the AMWAY Family leading that conversation.

One more thought on educaton and it goes back to climate change and understanding the scientific method.
One of the two political parties has it in ther platform that 93% of scientists weighing in on the causes of climate change are fulla crap.
I ask you, under those conditions what ir the problem with the education system.
Is it teachers unionizing for a ivable wage or is it political ?
I think the politics of Fox are as much to blame for the decline in our childrens education
It is hard to have a conversation about education when one side politicizes -- knowledge

We just experienced the least productive Congress in the history of our nation

We have a President doing a Captain Quige impersonation

and an electorate that is under the impression that Sweden had a terrorist attack last weekend.

And rampant fear of Sharia Law

Would you guys like to compare the amount of terrorism related deaths by groupings in the last 10 years?

The biggest joke on the left is to try and say that any form of terrorism comes even close to a fraction of the danger that is Islamic terrorism. I applaud the President for focusing on the real issue.

See your issue is you are looking at the threat to the homeland when Islamic Terrorism is a global problem. A terrorist attack in Pakistan isn't ignored by me. Same thing in Turkey/Germany/Iraq/etc..

You just see the world as too small in this item.
