Haven't read that much on this topic but this article is straight-forward and sourced, at least with other links.

Why Trump Can't Come Clean on Russia
The saying "it's not the crime, it's the cover-up" may not apply here.

. . . At a minimum, it seems that Trump associates—at least Flynn—were secretly interacting with the Putin regime as it was plotting to subvert American democracy to help Trump win the White House. A key question is obvious: What did they discuss? The darkest possibility is that they talked about the Kremlin assault on the US election. Short of that, might Flynn or others have encouraged Putin's clandestine operation by signaling that Moscow would have an easier time with a Trump administration than with a Clinton administration? Were there any winks or nods? After all, in late July, Trump called on Russia to hack Clinton. Whatever was discussed, any Trump associate who spoke with Russian officials during the summer or fall of the campaign had reason to know that he or she was interacting with a member of a regime that was actively attempting to undermine the election in a manner beneficial to Trump.
The cover-up here may not be worse than the actions being covered up.

How can Trump and his crew concede that they were hobnobbing with a foreign government that was waging political warfare against the United States? The "full and complete debrief" that Cillizza advocates would require Trump to acknowledge that he and his team have covered up these contacts and explain why. This "full and complete debrief" could well show that Trump's camp cozied up to a repressive government that was seeking to destabilize US politics to help Trump. It could reveal that Trump associates directly or indirectly encouraged Putin's attack on the 2016 election.

Trump would lose all legitimacy as president were he to admit that anything of this sort transpired. There are some deeds that cannot be acknowledged. Expecting Trump and his lieutenants to confess that his campaign or business associates were networking with the Kremlin or Russian intelligence is not realistic—especially after their months of denial. (Trump also for months refused to accept the US intelligence assessment that Russia was behind the hacking and leaking aimed at Democratic targets, and when he finally bent on this point, he downplayed Moscow's meddling in the election.) Trump cannot continue to present himself as the triumphant winner of a fair election if it turns out his own people were palling around with Moscow.

Again, exposing corruption is not an attack on our democracy. Clintons emails were subpoenaed and supposed to be turned over. Clinton chose to use a private email server specifically to avoid freedom of information requests. She had the emails deleted to keep them from getting out. Over 30k emails were deleted after they were subpoenaed. Trump asked Russia to turn those over if they had any way to get them.

Go read the FBI released documents about Russia influencing the election and its mostly about election coverage from the RT news channel. I doubt you consider any other foreign leaders vocally supporting Clinton to be an attack on our democracy. If you want to see what attacking a democracy looks like then look at what we do to other countries because we do a lot more than just expose corruption to influence foreign elections. Heck, Hillary is on tape saying they should have rigged the Palestinian election.

Here is the report if you want to read it.

Did you just say that Russia released the emails to expose corruption? Even that is an attack on our democracy. They've been involved in a campaign to discredit western democracy for almost 100 years.

Wait, if Cajun is saying that the Russians did it, maybe you should consider that progress and quit while you're ahead.

I dont really care to argue the point of if they did it. Wikileaks released the emails and you cant dispute that. If Russia gave them to wikileaks is something none of us can verify one way or the other.

I think our democracy is a sham so attempts to discredit it are welcome in my opinion. Would any of you like to dispute that the 2 major parties use their power to keep third parties from challenging the duopoly? Would any of you dispute that both major parties have done shady **** in the primaries? Democrats in 2016 and Republicans in 2012. Would any of you dispute that the 2 major parties are under no legal obligation to hold fair primaries? So if the 2 major parties do everything they can to shut down third parties and can cheat in their own primaries then how are our elections any better than Russias? This isnt the first time there have been serious questions about a presidential election. I bet many of you think GWB stole the election in 2000 and there were a lot of questioks about how JFK won too.

I could give two schits about Pres. Agent Orange/Douchebag.

As long as he talks to blacks (he is trying and fake news is trying to dissuade it) and keeping our jobs here, well companies can't give you lower pay if you work there so they bring in foreigners at a much lesser rate, then I have nothing to rag on him about. I careless about other issues knowing he is not going to nuke anyone in the near future.

UPDATE: Swedish Embassy seeks State Department clarification of Trump's remarks suggesting major incident.

Fake news.

Clearly, Trump doesn’t mean what he’s actually saying. Facts are optional. They are fungible. \For example his signature building, Trump Tower in Manhattan, is advertised as being 68 stories tall, but in reality is only 58 stories high. Select floors are missing in order for them to claim the 45th floor is really the 53rd floor—and get a much higher rate of return than he normally would when leasing office space or condos. This is just a perfect example of Trump’s reality warping field in effect. Things aren’t what they truly are: they are what Trump claims they are. This may be one of the key sources of Trump’s ability to succeed against all reasonable odds.

While there was no big event that occurred as trump hinted you guys are delusional if you don't think there is massive increases in crime related activity resulting from the migrants in all European nations.

Give the public a break - The FAKE NEWS media is trying to say that large scale immigration in Sweden is working out just beautifully. NOT!

Trump is too loose with his words. I agree. Doesn't take away from the fact there are obvious issues with refugees and we should learn from past failures.

What issues with refugees that aren't just societal issues that cross citizenship / immigrant lines
My life experience is that out of randem 15 people you know 2 will be of the best ever know 2 will be of the worst you've ever known then there are 11 in the middle

You never addressed the guy in Florida or Dylan Roofe for that matter.
Should we ban all people loosely associated with Christianity because of Dylan Roofe ?

Name me one act of terrorism conducted by an immigrant that is equal ?
Name me one threat from an immigrant equal to the yo yo in Florida ?

All issues should be paid attention to.

Listen, you can be ignorant about the heightened crime rates in migrant populations all you want for ideological reasons. The truth is in the facts and there is no reason for America to bear this burden.

I find home grown terrorism more of a threat than people that spend 18-24 months getting vetted.
Or people that want to pick strawberries
