Not just the GOP. It's not a coincidence the two people running for office were two of the most hated candidates ever to be nominated by their parties. We saw it for the Democrats too, except he was stamped out by his own party. Bernie Sanders isn't exactly a moderate. We'll only see more and more radical candidates on both sides going forward.

Trump is far from a radical. He's a populist. The only real radical position that I've seen him take is in regards to vaccines. It is going to be interesting going forward though in regards to politicians. Milo made a great point earlier in his career before he got too big for his britches. He stated that trump is the internet comments section choice for president. It's going to be interesting to see how that plays out going forward.
 
Perhaps T's deportation and immigration actions are more about demographics than curbing terrorism. 4 years of this could be big number, combined with the voluntary exodus that would surely coincide.

In his daily intelligence briefings that he rarely attends, I'm sure they tell him that the biggest danger in the US is homegrown terrorism.
