"Depending on the severity, there's a chance he may never get back to being at the level he's out now."

"Hand injuries like that can kill careers."

What's the injury "like that"? What's the injury?

Reading comprehension not your thing, huh?

It's a hand injury. Don't know the severity yet but hand injuries can and do ruin careers. Hopefully it's just bruised.

Hopefully. Maybe I'm downplaying the severity, but miss state has 2 players playing/played with broken bones in hands this year from pitches just like that. I think FF will be fine long term

It also happened to our own Dustin Peterson.

Just saw the replay of Freeman getting hit. The only hope I have is that usually breaks happen when the ball hits the bottom hand, rather than the top hand.

Bad news is it looks like a possible wrist injury, which is MUCH more of a problem than a broken hand bone.

I'm hoping against hope that the ball hit the fleshy part of Freeman's hand. Unfortunately, given the obvious pain level, I doubt we'll get that lucky.

I'm sure he was getting pulled regardless. He definitely didn't look good trying to grip bat though

What's Pillar's problem? Motte didn't do anything that I could see--other than strike Pillar's sorry [rear end] out.
