Truth be told, while obviously insufficient, that's actually a better idea than continuing these indiscriminate conventional and chemical bombing campaigns that ultimately kill mostly civilians. But nice flippancy; you're reaction is what's truly sad here.

How are they marginalized? They have their own special parades and an entire community for only them. Where is the parade for straight people or the community for only straight people? Are gay people denied the chances to go to school or get a job? There are plenty of gay people who are plenty more successful than I or anyone on this board.

WTF, yes! In many cases the only reason they aren't denied certain chances are due to recent anti-discrimination laws.

But this, admittedly, makes the whole thing that much stranger.

Pride parades are celebrations of being proud to be gay and celebrating that fact and life, not being proud to be American. In my opinion (and MANY others), gays who vote Republican are not proud to be gay. Either they are extremely ignorant to side with those who want to strip them of their civil rights (gonna help them build the ovens too?), or they are dealing with an unfortunate amount of internalized homophobia. They spit in the face of those who have fought for their civil rights that they're finally getting to enjoy some these days. If this was an American pride parade (or New Years parade or St Patrick's Day parade, etc), then I'm with you 100%.

I will take a step back though and say that they're not a hate group, so I shouldn't compare them to the KKK. Perhaps a better comparison would be if a gay conversion therapy group wanted to participate with a float.

Also, go ahead and admit, as you have done before, that you aren't really interested in tolerance or equal rights. You aren't really satisfied with acceptance. You want approval. Approval from all. And if that isn't granted, well then, you'll just indulge in a bit of bigotry too (as you've done above). Right?
