lol.. passive aggressive doesn't work on me my friend..

Did you just learn that phrase? You've tried to use it several times today after never using it before.

Did someone at the local Wells Fargo branch try to teach you some psych 101?

By the way, you're not using it correctly.

I have used it before.. and it is very correct.. just like I have been on Newk.. well except on that last inning. you read my comments on him earlier today about his control and command and how his really bad games are when he is consistently up and away from righties... pull his pitch chart for tonight and you will see I was correct. I didn't even have to use a spread sheet either... see that was another example of passive aggressiveness..

And I have used it more today because you have been extra ornery the last two days.. I would guess because Hann has been active and the Braves have not looked great.. That usually puts you in your happy place..

I just hope Coppy is paying attention. Hahn is putting on a clinic titled "Rebuilding 101 and 102".

Coppy is teaching "Spinning the Wheels of a Rebuild and Going Nowhere 101".

who is that?

Mobile. A news report out of Huntsville says an Arizona investment group is trying to buy them and move them there, Baton Rouge, or Savannah. Truth be told, attendance has been mediocre at best the past few years and Mobile's stadium is now the oldest in the Southern League.

We need to sell. I love this team's upside, but the future is bright and we need to stop joking with ourselves about the present. We're probably missing out on really good deals because the FO can't get ahold of their pride.

I was happy with the team winning but if we had a good week, and were close in the WC, i think Coppy might have made a big move for a SP or hitter. Which isnt needed right now.

If we have a bad week, and lose 5-6 games this week, it will be easy to sell and not do anything til this winter, next deadline. And play Dansby more, even call up Albies since i think the Super 2 deadline is well past.

This. I feel like a bad fan, but I know this team is 5 good pieces (2 good SP, 2 good hitters, and another pen piece) away from being serious contenders. They need to have a bad week in Los Angeles and Arizona. With the Cubs game today, the team needs to go 1-7 or 2-6 to hopefully convince the FO that this year isn't the year to buy. Try to find contenders who want to trade with you in bulk to try to get a good piece (any takers for Garcia and Adams? any takers for Phillips and a pen piece?).

I loved the braves playing well; but it's hard for me to pull for them to win when we started sitting one of our best prospects and talking about trading Albies. I think a good dose of reality is good for this FO.

THIS. They got a little too big for their britches with the good 5-2 week against Washington and Arizona.

Dave Martinez needs to be given serious consideration to manage the Braves I think.

I love the idea, and I know he ended his career with us years ago.

They just don't mesh though. He is huge into advanced statistics, and this job would either require him managing like a dinosaur (like we see with Snit and would see with Ron Washington) or the front office adapting. Based on the front office's stubbornness, I don't see them adapting or hiring anyone that would require them to learn managing and running a baseball franchise in the 2010's.

I really do get the Newcomb upside, having seen him pitch a few times now, including once in person.

But I also feel pretty qualified now to say that he wasn't walking guys in the minors because of bad umpires, bad lighting, or bad defense.

What about bad catchers.

So are we sellers now?

I don't care if we sell or not; but don't buy if it costs us Albies, Swanson, acuna, allard, soroka, or maitan. Sell jamie Garcia for sure though, so Wisler/sims can finish this year in the rotation. Kinda like the idea of keeping dickey for next season, unless we're blown away by a deal
