I was too, but I'm starting to lean towards Folty being one of those "stuff #4" pitchers that everyone keeps waiting to turn into more...but never does.
His demeanor on the mound stinks. I hate that. I think he slots in good at 3 and people need to pump the brakes on the ace of the staff talk.

Folty doesn't have the brains to be a TOR. He's a good rotation piece as long as he's relatively cheap. He's got great stuff but he's on equal footing with Newk and mikes in his 3rd+ year.

Folty needs to be a piece we use to acquire a real starter. His stuff makes him intriguing enough to be valuable, maybe

What I'm thinking. It would have to be a controllable TOR starter to even consider it. I'm not sold on him ever being consistant enough to be an ace.

What we need to do is identify the Folty's on other teams and trade for them.

Young pitchers with talent figure it out all the time. We need to be patient.

He will be 26 in Oct., and has started in MLB for going on three years now. More likely "he is what he is" rather than "he will figure it out" at this point.

Why would any team consider trading a controllable TOR guy for a lesser pitcher with a similar period of control?
