Game of Thrones

Yeah it all felt a bit cheap. I gotta think that at least someone big is dying at King's Landing next week. Otherwise it's going to be a really dumb episode.

Part of me wishes that Jon Snow would have never climbed out of that ice water. It would've been so unexpected and heartbreaking, and would've made the episode carry a lot more weight. I knew it wasn't going to happen though.

To be fair, the dragon getting pwnt was one of the more heartbreaking scenes in the show, even though I saw that coming from a mile away.

Very exciting season, but **** how the writing quality has plummeted. You can tell they are beyond the source material and flying on their own.

likely one of the reasons they are condensing the last two seasons. just trying to finish it before it jumps the shark like walking dead

yeah, the writing is terrible now

thankfully it's near the end cause i don't want to stop watching this epic show but a lot has been really bad this season

I don't think that has as much to do with it as actually write a finish in just one year. It just feels rushed. That always happens to shows that we're traditionally well-written when they pigeonhole themselves into a small window. See: How I Met Your Mother and Lost. Even Battlestar Galactica's ending is messy.

it is known

a Stark as the final enemy is the ultimate twist for this show

I think this would work well in the books, but if it happens in the shows where they haven't really laid the groundwork for it, then I think it would be objectively dumb.

I have a feeling this next episode is going to have a massive battle. They are setting it up where Cersei deals real damage to Daenerys' force. I hope they keep her around for as long as possible because the parts of the show with her and Jaime are the best part of the show that remains (especially with the weird Arya plotting this season).

To be fair to Weiss and Benieoff, it must be incredibly difficult to write a satisfying ending to this story in the short period of time they get between seasons (especiallu with all of the additional special effects work). GRRM who is brilliant has struggled writing an ending to his story, so I think it's unfair of us to expect much more from the show guys.

Why condense it so hard in the last two seasons ? $?

You save a lot of money since the actors are paid per episode. Hbo has an upcoming show with a budget of $500,000,000. Half a billion dollars for one season. Guess hbo has to save where they can.
