Hollywood/Political Sex Offense Scandals (Now Louis CK and AL-GOPSenateNom Roy Moore)

Some of you guys seem to conflate "No, I don't want to go out with you or have a drink with you" with "No, I don't want to kiss you or be touched without consent."

This is what scares me. The left has proven to continually radicalize any position. It starts in small steps and then gradually it becomes more and more extreme. Soon you won't be able to look at a woman without being accused of harassment. I joke but who knows with the left now.

When you make every situation have a victim, eventually, people believe they are victims

And everyone laughed at Mike Pence when he said he’d never go out with a woman who wasn’t his wife.

well, that isn't what he said

but i would make fun of any married man for saying that statement too

i expect for any married man to not go out with another woman.

Maybe I haven't followed the discussion closely enough, but it seems like you're pulling together a lot of different threads of this discussion, conflating them somewhat, and extrapolating dire conclusions therefrom.

I responded directly to your point with data showing that this isn't about unwanted groping and kissing.

We've created a victim culture and it will only get worse.

Yes, but you're talking about people losing their jobs or livelihoods.

"This," i.e. the larger discussion about shifting societal norms and mores, can certainly encompass the topic you're introducing via that study. But that's a different discussion, right?

If "sexual harassment" is serious enough for someone to lose their jobs...

and "complimenting a woman's looks" is now being considered as sexual harassment from the 'victim'

then "complimenting a woman's looks" is serious enough for someone to lose their jobs.

I think they call that the transitive property

You are the undisputed champ of the slippery slope.

I think the last 10 years has been proven me on the right side of history.

Go read through that political correctness thread again.

The reality he is men aren't going to know what to do and will need to walk around with legally binding contract in order to interact with a woman

I'll play the game for a moment and assume that you're absolutely correct. According to your ideology, as long as the government is not involved, however private entities choose to handle their private compacts with employees is ok, no?

Up until and individual's liberty (gasp, i Know y'all hate that concept) is infringed upon. Only then, is the government allowed to step in.

And sorry to say, getting your feelings hurt or needing a safe space or being told your pretty is not infringing on one's individual liberty.

Still wondering what the Womens March was about are you ?

One conducts oneself as a gentleman they will have no problems.
'One acts like an entitled cad -- then yes, that person will "not know what to do"
The age old "If you are a star ... " mindset

Your every post on gender issues shows how little you've exposed yourself to writings going back to the 1940's.
Or the history that produced those writings

An overview for a start

Many people claim this is a non partisan issue but I clearly remember more of a negative backlash against O'Reilly and ailes than any of these liberal perpetrators. Wonder why....

Hyper-correction from a long period where women didn't feel they could say "ew" to an untoward compliment or "no" to an unwelcome proposition without repercussions.

I don't agree with the "1 in 4 young women [who] say it's always/usually SH if he asks her out for a drink", but I understand where it's coming from.

As for the "1/3 of American young adults think it's "always/usually" sexual harassment if a man who not a woman's romantic partner compliments her looks", I think the nature and tenor of the compliment matters. It's one thing to say an unsolicited "cool skirt" or "rad tattoo" or "I like your hair", and quite another (and a lot more like harassment) to say "nice tits" or "great ass" or whistle as if to an animal.
