Megathread: Braves lose Maitan, Bae and 10+ plus International Sanctions.

Like if they rallied around their FO members and stuck together rather than throwing a couple guys under the bus causing them to get so pissed off they decided to offer up info to make sure the Braves burned?

Coppy got a lifetime ban. If you think he cooperated in the investigation you are insane.

Pretty sure he's never said that or meant that.

I think he means, and if so I agree, that if the Braves had rallied the troops and circled the wagons then MLB would have never gotten enough info to support their harsh penalties. Instead the Braves (Hart, McGuirk and likely JS) tried to throw Coppy and Blakely to the wolves, get them on an NDA with a severance, and clean everything up without anything getting out. What they miscalculated on was that Coppy and Blakely weren't interested in their severance (Coppy thought he could sue, I think Blakely was the woman scorned). Coppy went radio silent and started talking to his lawyers. Blakely sang like a bird and cut a deal and turned on both Coppy and Hart - why do you think Hart got sucked in in a peripheral way but McGuirk and JS didn't? (Blakely wouldn't have had access to those guys).

And now Blakely is meeting with Liberty execs.

Not too hard to connect the dots.

McGuirk will quietly retire and be replaced.

JS will be given a smaller office further away from the people making decisions.

That is what is needed. Full reset of the organization.

And if anyone is concerned - I'll still be a massive homer.

When Coppy and Hart and McGuirk were running things they were the greatest FO on the planet.

Now that they are gone it’s exactly what the Braves need.

Whoever replaces them will take over the mantle of greatest FO.

Does that just about cover it?

He literally just said that. Why thethe is the sh*t. Never waivers. I know you secretly like him

It's possible. But considering the MLB already announced it, they likely already knew. Coppy was fired “as a result of a breach of MLB rules regarding the international player market,."

Some people can’t connect dots...ever.

Instead of connecting dots they argue semantics, like Carp.

I’m starting to get the idea that Blakey may have been the rat that really made our problems worse. I may be wrong but if he caused us that much trouble I hope he doesn’t get a dime and never finds another job. If he is talking to us about top management he probably told MLB which could be why we got hit so hard. I hate snitches.
