Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

The whole narrative has been that the dossier was the basis of this whole concocted investigation.

The goddamn last paragraph of this thing says: "The Papadopoulous information triggered the opening of an FBI counterintelligence investigation..."

Yeah, good night. Try again.

Do you think this is the sentence that was added after the vote, to cover their butts with at least one clear, unambiguous statement? If not, I wonder what was changed. Does anyone know?

So who's the Donald gonna appoint FBI chief? Any bets? Nunes would be in keeping with his record.

Rudy would get absolutely destroyed in Senate hearings. Which probably means Trump would nominate him.

He told the Australian guy over drinks so I'm just waiting for the defense to be that he was drunk and talking out of his ass.

Is not the deliberately misleading memo just another part of the pattern of obstructionism? I would not want to have anything to do with it.

Not at all. If you're obstructing something (which hasn't been proven), there's likely a reason. Is it collusion? If so, what might have led to the collusion? Or if he was obstructing justice, is there something else entirely he doesn't want found out?

The question I'm amazed hasn't been asked more is what the hell were Page and Papadopoulos doing on the campaign to begin with?

Sure, anything's possible, but I feel like it's important to acknowledge that you are operating on the extreme side of ways that Trump's various actions can be interpreted.

It’s indisputable that collusion has been replaced by obstructionism in the popular distillation of Trump’s purported criminal actions. Regardless of merit.

I see what you're saying. In any event, obstruction is a crime. "Collusion" itself isn't but there may be crimes that are part of collusion.

I'm curious what your interpretations are for some of his actions surrounding the obstruction debate? It's also laughable that my side would be considered "extreme."

it's a target rich environment...financial crimes and financial entanglements with Russians might yet overtake obstruction and collusion as a bigger issue for Mueller's investigation

Trump was right, obstruction is the new collusion.

I think the idea is that there's at least a little of both. If we believe Trump is obstructing justice, there must be some crime he's hiding. Given that the investigation concerns collusion, it's fair to think the claims of obstruction also cover collusion.

well, if all you do is try to hinder and shut down an investigation

and everyone thus far keeps lying to the investigators

it would make sense for that evolution to happen

Not the crime, but the coverup. Think I heard that somewhere.

This guy. The cajones don't fall far from the tree.

I have to admit their obfuscation is very effective. It's almost impossible to catch people who have no qualms lying.
