Discussion of Braves 2018 Offseason plans

Super doesn't know much about baseball or politics but he is right about one thing: You're lack of emotional intelligence is astounding.

Irony: a Trumpkin saying someone lacks in emotional intelligence...or any kind of intelligence haha.

Sorry, no more politics.

My academic achievements are pretty damn good so I'm sure you're not talking to me. However, I think the only thing you and I can agree on is that Super really needs to quit embarrassing himself talking about baseball. LOL!

This organization sucks. This team sucks. And this board, especially, has sucked over the past year.

Same discussions revolving around the same stale issues, same petty catfights, same idiotic turns of phrase.

Many of the folks who actually made this board worth wasting time on are long gone. It's unfortunate.

Yeah? And you’re ugly.

Seriously though, when the Braves become relevant again, so too will this place. I mean, it’s kind of hard to find a lot of interesting stuff to talk about when we’ve basically watched the exact same season and offseason unfold for the last 4 years without anything to get excited about aside from the occasional hot prospect. Furthermore, it’s kind of hard to inject any quality humor into anything that just isn’t that interesting to begin with.

If I get a blank stare I say “bicameral legislature”, and most intelligent people are able to infer the meaning based on context.

If I still get a blank stare I offer the final lifeline of “two chamber”. The actual word “bicameral” doesn’t really matter.

If I still get nothing other than a babbling reply, I just change the subject to how nice the weather is.

As someone who used to be a registered republican, and is now registered independent, I’m confident when I say the ignorance is more heavily concentrated on one side.

I'm an independent as well, with a little bit of a libertarian lean, and I see it differently. The numbskull millennials that make up the Occupy groups and the like are as clueless with respect to economics as the "America, Jesus, Freedom!" crowd is to civil liberties and people of different races/faiths. It's nothing more than two different kinds of stupid, on opposite ends of the spectrum. The only differences are which rights they want to take away, and on what they want to spend money that the government doesn't have.

Right now the light is just shining more on the Trump side of things. Wait until we have President Sanders or Warren in 4-8 years. The socialist loons will have their day in the sun.

That's not what your Mom said.

See, it's not that hard.

This new article explains what we have to look forward to:

https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/here-are-the-25-and-under-rankings/

The Braves are projected to have the 6th best Top 10 group of 25 and under players, and the 3rd best group of Top 11-20 players.

It's basically confirmation of what we already know: The Braves have a lot of good young players.

As other teams get older and crappier, the Braves are going to slowly rise to the top by default. As soon as they start supplementing that young talent with a couple impact older talents, they will be onto something.

The main issue is the Phillies also have a lot of young talent, but they also have way more money than the Braves to add impact talent in the future. They are poised to be a juggernaut at the same time the Braves are looking to open their competitive window. The fear is the Braves being the Pirates or Cardinals at exactly the same time the Phillies turn into the Cubs.

So basically JP ****ed my imaginary mother because Cy's Mom (who is very real) said I was good lookin'.

Words, y'all. Use them.

Speaking of words, and how we use them: Not sure where you’ve derived that “because”. My motivations are frightfully independent from Cy’s or Cy’s mom’s.

Way to keep the charade up. We can’t let them know we’re alt accounts for the same person.

Did I say that out loud?

Frightfully? This is absolutely worthy of further semantical exploration.

As is all that bisexual **** other people were talking about upthread.
