I think Freeman will play well into his mid to late 30's. Playing 1B should keep him healthier than any other position. We might have the DH by the time we get to his late 30's and early 40's. He has been a remarkably consistent hitter his whole career. He has never really gone on month long slums where he hits like Melvin. I think if we have a lot of team success with Freeman he will get in easily because he will be the face of the Braves during that period. Even if other players surpass him in performance he is still the face as long as he hits well. The thing that impresses me the most about Freeman is that the Mets, Phillies, and Nationals fan bases all believe Freeman kills them and only them. If I could find a marlin fan I am sure they would say the same.
