Gowdy and Ryan seem satisfied that the FBI reaction to the incoming information was appropriate.
Puppets tend to relay their handler's message.
Gowdy and Ryan seem satisfied that the FBI reaction to the incoming information was appropriate.
The idea that they picked them up is around. We still do not know what these communications were and who they were between. To launch this type of investigation they better be of significance.
But...that's the whole point, isn't it? You're pinning so much of your narrative to the idea that we haven't seen evidence. That's true. But the intelligence and law enforcement personnel involved have. Lawmakers have. Judges have. That doesn't make it a certainty, but it means that there's a hell of a lot more reason to believe one version over the other.
unless all those people are part of a deep state conspiracy
Gowdy and Ryan seem satisfied that the FBI reaction to the incoming information was appropriate.
Did they get those messages?
dunno...do you...they did get a briefing and presumably asked questions
But were they allowed to get the nature of the communications or were they told in no uncertain terms that they were bad?
Thats why we need to know more. So many rash conclusions have been made by the collusion crowd and as you peel the onion back you realize that there isn't much.
Sure. Everybody wants to know more. But plenty of people with knowledge, including Gowdy and Ryan, think there was a basis to open a counterintelligence investigation. Yet you're not willing to concede that much, or take prominent Republicans at their word for it.
Because there are also several prominent members that do not feel there was sufficient basis and we have also learned time and time again that the FBI has done suspicious things over the last 24 months? Why is that such an outlandish position to take?
nice article on Manafartov's buddy, Konstantin Kilimnik

By other prominent members, I assume you mean Nunes, as he's the only one of similar standing. I weigh the other guys' opinions more because Nunes has thoroughly telegraphed his actions, beginning with obfuscating his meeting w the White House and pretending that he had uncovered SHOCKING new information. Followed by the memo charade, etc ad nauseam. He's been a transparent bad-faith actor throughout. He's tied himself to Trump and is going to sink or swim on that basis. Ryan and Gowdy are retiring and as such are less beholden to pure political calculation. This is JMO, but I think both guys' decisions to pull the cord were at least partially informed by their desire not to be in leadership when the **** hits the fan.
That's not only your opinion. It's very curious that so many Rep's are retiring. This is JMO, but I think both guys' decisions to pull the cord were at least partially informed by their desire not to be in leadership when the **** hits the fan.
