Breaking ball/cutter pitchers can and do struggle with wet balls. This game not being stopped likely cost the Braves this game.

Dude’s stuff isn’t lucky, he’s good. But sucky pitching stretches are sadly part of it.

I'm not giving excuses, I've heard that breaking ball/cutter guys can struggle when it's wet. Dude came in and immediately threw the ball to the backstop. That shows no grip for his main pitch.
