GDT 8/9/19 - RETURN OF THE ATTACK OF THE ANIBAL

Pen is strapped outside leverage guys folks and we're in a 22 in 20 stretch, he has to go and Ole Lady Luck may have really screwed the Braves over in these games.

Worst part is, there's no one else that could've tried since Gohara is hurt.

Did FP Santangelo really just say he thought Winkler hit Harper on purpose?! What a moron.

is it irony that the Braves have tons of pitching prospects yet they have to rely on Wes Parsons in a big game?

Well, Gohara, Soroka, and Fried are all injured, and they might want Touki to start in Monday's doubleheader. Luke has been good at times this season but is probably not available for long innings. Kyle Wright and Bryse Wilson aren't ready.

So yes, this is where we're at today.

Nats are tagging Parsons pretty good and we've let Gonzalez settle in. Well, I'd have taken a split of this series going into it if I'd been asked. It just sucks that the Nats wins came largely as a result of injuries to our starting pitching.

I have 2 legit questions, if someone could help me out:

1. when is the last time a Braves player threw out a runner at the plate?
2. has any pitcher, ever in the history of the game, thrown fatter pitches over the heart of the plate than Wes Parsons has in this game?
