DH Game 2 Thread

If you're a guy like Machado or Harper going into FA and seeing guys like Acuna, Albies, and all the young talent they have wouldn't that be intriguing to you? I know we wouldn't be the highest bidder for either but it would have to weigh on your decision some.

Money talks

As we all know, MLB has instituted a new procedure for the intentional walk in which they simply wave the batter to first base to save time. Along a similar vein, when Folty bats they should just wave him back to the dugout and record an out.

Found this from 7/5/18.

EDIT: I can't post twitter stuff I guess.

Grant McCauley tweeted that Rickey Henderson led off both games of a DH with HRs on 7/5/1993.

Never hit leadoff homers in three straight games.

hit leadoff HRs in consecutive games 3 times, including the one GM mentioned.

......

Made a guess and saw Brady Anderson hit leadoff HRs on 4 consecutive days once. Maybe I vaguely remembered it. Not an easy record to research.

ESPN Stats:

Ronald Acuña Jr. is the youngest player to homer in 4 straight games in the Live-Ball Era (since 1920).

The only other 20-year-old to do it in that span was Miguel Cabrera in 2004.
