It's OVER 5,000!
6-2 Arizona!
Bad managing there as they left in the lefty to face AJ Pollock and he hit a three run homer.

The steady-hand for a young, surprise-performing team is yuge. He may not be the tactician the Braves need going forward, but I absolutely think he aided, rather than hindered, the Braves’ tank-to-title regular season performance.
injuries being among the reasons doesn't even speak to how good or bad their managing this year. But i will add that i agree with some of the criticism in his direction.
oh well cubs still won

dream is dead
playing the rockies is very much alive
Braves will still find a way to **** it up. I think it’s overrated. To get to where we want to go, we’re going to have to beat the best teams.
What I’m getting at here is that I think you’re irrationally critical of Snitker. You came to the conclusion a long time ago that he was a bad manager and have been banging that drum with never ending confirmation bias ever since. Case in point: you use his minor league managerial record to point to his quality as a manager like that has any relevance whatsoever.
Is he a good tactician? No. Is he a bad tactician? I’d say yes, much of the time. Is that the least important part of a manager’s job over 162 games? Yes. And I think he’s proven his worth at the more important managerial duties, like leading a clubhouse.
i heard the same arguments from posters here defending fredi in the past, i expect everyone will forget that too later on once snit is replaced. And no im not saying he will be replaced anytime soon, but maybe after next year.

Not many accused Fredi of being a players manager like Snit apparently is and Bobby was.

They did before that Sept. collapse, he was compared to Bobby Cox a lot when winning. More by announcers than posters though.
The assumption early on that he would be like Bobby since he was in the organization for so long but it was obvious after awhile how bad he was
it isn't surprising people have selective memory defending these so called old school managers that are poor at managing bullpens etc. I expect it given the season we've had thus far.

Well the Dodgers missing the playoffs takes the best team out of the NL picture imo. And since only one team would come out of the AL then the Braves technically just have to beat one of the best teams
If Rockies somehow catch and beat out Dodgers for division, Bud Black is easily manager of the year IMO. Even a wild card for Rockies makes Black manager of the year for me.
