Texans fans are apparently confronting Matt Schaub at his HOME! Pathetic
Didn't say to draft like them but its obvious that you have failed with your O/D lineman picks. You still need to make picks along those lines becuase you guys get pushed around in almost every game you play.
You don't waste high draft picks on multiple OL. This upcoming draft is very fortunate for the Falcons however. Multiple elite tackles to choose from.
O-Line can be greatly influenced by coaching as well. Titans generally have had very good O-Lines for the last 10 yrs or more, despite not spending a high draft pick on an OL in a very long time (Warmack obviously notwithstanding)
It is a legitimate concern. However, great Qbs can make great Wrs. Kaep isn't there yet. Its about ball placement and timing some of the time too.
If I was SF, I would look long and hard at Josh Gordon.
Wait you're saying that you never said Kaep was great now? Lulz.
Kaep is definitely not on that level and I never said he was RIGHT NOW. I do believe he will get there.
I go back and forth on Gordon. He would probably cost at least a second round pick and while the 49ers have 6 picks in the first three rounds for this years draft I do worry about his off the field problems considering we already have Aldon/Baldwin.
I pull that trigger then. 6 picks in the firs 3 rounds is crazy. Gordon is gonna be a good one. He has it all. If you pick up Gordon, you could trade Baldwin. He won't see the field when Crabby comes back.
I actually like Baldwin long term. He is just such a dumb ass that it takes long to learn a playbook. If you look he produced a little with a horrible QB in KC. If he is the fourth option at WR in this offense then I think he could have big year next year.
Regarding trading for Gordon, I just worry about him getting suspended for a year. He would cost more than a 2nd rounder obviously if that wasn't the case but its risky. I love that Baalke has all these picks. 49ers are masterful at the draft aside from the dreadful 2012 one.
One of the best in the business for sure.
Baldwin has always been known as a knucklehead. Problem is, you are missing opportunities waiting on him to develop. Gordon is such a talent that he will always appeal to someone at some price. Its not a sunk cost like the Baldwin aquisition (to me at least). I would do it. It could mean a Super Bowl this year, after all ...isn't that what the 9ers are playing for?
I never said he was a top 5 QB now.
Please find when I said that. The top 5 QB's make their receivers better.
Top 5 is great? The lulz!
Dude you definitely hyped Kaep up like crazy, regardless of whether or not you said he was great "right now." You spoke as if he had no flaws and was already well on his way to being top 5. Truth is, he is leagues behind Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers and there are a handful of other QBs who are better right now. Lack of weapons or not, he was awful for two weeks. Like, really, really bad, and very good QBs don't often look that bad two weeks in a row. He tore up a weak GB defense and the Rams. He was 6/15 last week. He's been underwhelming to say the least, injuries or not. If he was as great and flawless and you were proclaiming before the season, he would be playing much, much better. You and everyone else expected much more from him so far this year.
Also a big part of his appeal was running. He ain't doing that AT ALL. That hurts his value a lot.
It's not that I "don't want to admit anything." But, watching him this year, there are obvious flaws to me. His throwing motion is really not great. I believe he could be really good. I stated that in the off-season when we talked about this. But there are definite concerns that he must refine, and it has nothing to do with his weapons. Does he need a plethora of completely healthy weapons to not suck? That's not good.
