Riley, Wilson, Flowers, and a throw-in for Realmuto?
Like fine wine my friend!
Thats not too bad, will Miami come calling or take less again?
We’ll be adding the #9 pick and possibly the 21 pick to the list next year.
he's gonna end up being a useful bullpen armOkay everything that I may have ever said about trading Muller, scrap it. We need to keep this kid. Dude hit 98 at Driveline the other day.

Needs to reign in the offspeed stuff a little, though.

I have a question. Every time I see a trade possibility here, it has Riley mentioned in it. Do we not think we need Riley? If we don't sign Donaldson long term, and I don't know why we would start with a 1 year deal if we wanted him long term, who will play third next year? If we go back with Camargo, there goes our bench again.

Clv...who in the h3ll said Riley's defense hasn't improved or is legitimate? From Rome to Gwinnett he worked his azz off and is above average at minimum. I have concerns about his strikeouts...that's it.Just depends on which side of the Great Riley Debate you come down on.
The doubters would trade him in just about any deal and be happy spending big $$$ to replace Donaldson next winter in the event he does turn into a one-year stopgap. Many who aren't high on Riley aren't buying that he's improving in some areas where there were questions early on - they don't like him defensively even though every report you read says he's continually getting better. Often they'll complain about his strikeout rates even though they don't consider the same rates as as big a wart on other prospects.
Some (if not most or all) of the Riley believers would only trade him in a deal for Realmuto because they have hope a healthy Donaldson with a shorter extension saves you bags of cash over chasing Rendon or Arenado (and don't buy the Braves could land one of them next winter anyway) and they want to make a push NOW. Realmuto will be a monster difference-maker in this lineup for two years and if you believe in our young pitching, you probably believe that adding Realmuto to a healthy Donaldson, Freeman, Acuna, and Albies nets Atlanta a Championship before Freddie's contract is up.
I'm grudgingly in that second group, but Realmuto is pretty much the ONLY player I'd move Riley for at this point. The doubters may be right - and no one argues their points are legitimate concerns - but we've heard the same arguments about prospects that turned into All-Stars before. If the worst-case scenario happens and his defense hasn't improved as much as reports say, he steps in for Markakis next year (with Acuna sliding over) and hits 25-30 HRs for several years while he's cheap.
