2020 Field

my point of pointing out enforcing laws on the books isn't that i agree with the laws or that we should be enforcing unjust laws

i keep forgetting you really don't get any nuance at all or the reasoning for it

but maybe one day you will figure it out

Looks like Bill Weld is running as a Republican.

I've become nostalgic for guys like Weld and Kean in the past year...hopefully political space opens up for people like them in the future

actually Baker and Hogan are proof the breed is not extinct

This is why he calls her Pocahontas
Because he is paid to by the defense industry (among others)
Has nothing to do with her charactor or origins it has to do with de legitimizing the threat of one who "persists"

this is worthy of discussion though I know a few will dismiss it without consideration .
Times we live in
..........

If you have a minute check out the headline on the NC election board
I smell Obama and Holder

At $70 billion/year, Warren’s universal child care program

would cost roughly what Congress added casually

to the Pentagon budget with no debate or even rationale

..............................

This program was first employed civically during the early 60's in Oakland, run and administered by Black Panthers.

If not mistaken the idea was borrowed from WWII when women worked in factories etc
You know, a national emergency

The Dems that hold interest for me: Biden and Klobuchar. Both seem a bit less ideological and more pragmatic.

I say that as someone who is outside the party. Speaking of which, I have a decision to make next week. Actually two decisions. Have to to renew my drivers license. The two decisions are:

1) Regular license or one of those "real" or enhanced ones that lets you travel to Canada, Mexico and a few other places. Costs a little more but I think I'll go with the real. You'll also need it for domestic air travel after October 2020. I keep a current passport but prefer not to use it for domestic travel. I'm always leaving things behind in my hotel room, so I try to minimize the chances of that happening to my passport.

2) The second decision is with driver's license renewal comes an opportunity to change party registration (which in NY is otherwise a pain). I left the GOP in 2016 and switched to independent. The way the system is set up you do lose a certain amount of say being an independent. I'm really not a Dem, but I'm thinking of registering that way so that I can vote in the 2020 primary.

Interesting 538 thinks had ( D) nominated Sen Sanders he would have beaten Trump.

Not so sure about that

Are you thinking Castro promised him the Presidecy if he dropped the blockade and gave him a luxury penthouse apartment.

Fascinating thay the left is able to get away with being racist.

i don't want Bernie running for president this time around

but that video is edited/chopped up as ****.

it seriously even just stops mid sentence and picks up wherever so they can push their agenda

having said that, i find it funny hearing people who say we need the 2nd amendment to fight the us gov't get angry when someone talks about how to defeat the us gov't. lol

it's so peculiar how the most patriotic crazies in this country and pretty much always stand up for cops in this country as if they can do no wrong

are also the same people that say they need to keep stockpiling ammo and guns to be able to kill the cops that will eventually come for them from the gov't of the country they act like they so desperately love.

I'm surprised that no one has picked up on this:

Kamala Harris made headlines last week when she joked in a radio interview that of course she smoked marijuana in her younger years: “Half my family’s from Jamaica. Are you kidding me?”

But the crack didn’t go over well with at least one Jamaican: Donald J. Harris, her father.

Jamaicans to their credit are a highly individualistic and outspoken people. Not surprised to see this sort of reaction from Donald Harris. I know a few Jamaicans, some from Donald Harris' generation. They don't mess around.

I posted this already sit

Kamala made it clear how she is a racist in 2 ways

1. Implied jamaicans naturally smoke pot

2. Lied about smoking pot because she felt a black audience would want to hear that

Its clear that racism is accepted only for one side.
