It probably wont happen but couple nuggets.
- Spotted in Orlando, could be nothing, could be something.
- Anytime there's a Braves rumor, DOB or Bowman shoot it down, they havent with CK. (of course right as i say this, Buzzkill Jr and Sr say it)
- And last but not least, that Kimbrel deleted his twitter.

#Braves aren't close to finalizing any trades or free-agent signings, with Craig Kimbrel or anyone else. Of course those things can change quickly, but nothing imminent on any front as of Friday afternoon.

LOL right on cue, both DOB and Bowman said it like 3 minutes apart lol. AA must of told them to say it, regardless, i like the outlook of the bullpen with or without Kimbrel, shapes up pretty well, lot of depth, from the left and right side.

Not sure a failure but probably a dissapointment given the money and prospects they had entering the year to improve the team this winter.
But if they dont sign him...
- Didnt lock in any huge contracts.
- Farm system is relatively intact.
- Still have money/farm to make a big in-season trade if the team proves to be good again at the deadline depending who gets made available.

With/without Craig, the bullpen shapes up pretty well imo.
I'd say you have four locks in O'Day, Viz, Minter, Venters.
Then Sobotka, Winkler, Carle, Biddle, Webb, Freeman, Jackson for 3-4 spots, and guys like Wilson, Fried, Touki if no SP spot if they'd be in the pen.
It's certainly miles better than what we had to open 2018.

I'm ok with them not signing him, coughing up a pick and his stuff has declined a little. Not the best investment for a mid=payroll team like the Braves.

Since Kimbrel was with a team that was over the luxury tax the Red Sox will receive a comp pick after the 4th round. Losing a 4th round pick is not that bad.

We still need all our picks given our international penalties but i thought it may be our 2nd round or 3rd round pick. I guess not bad if it's a 4th rounder but i'm good either way if we sign him or not.
I think we need another bat more than a closer.
