Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

The kind that thinks a mother should have the biggest say with regards to her baby. And that in a population explosion era and a country that already can't provide for its people, fetuses not brought to full term is no big deal. I don't cry every time a squirrel eats an acorn either, even though the world needs trees more than it needs more mouths to feed.

A borne baby is a fetus now?

Meadows and Jordan are pathetic. Never seen a man get so red in my life as when Meadows threw his paper down earlier. Blood pressure meds boys better get that BP down. Don't they realize they are killing their respective careers for a man that doesn't care who they are or what they do and would back a bus over them in a second to save his own hide? From a certain point of view, this is so painfully funny.

I’d think that Meadows’s display, particularly the shouting about Cohen’s disclosure form, considering that he was dead wrong on substance, might cause some folks to question their assumptions about who the dumbest person in Congress is.

The Meadows stunt by bringing Trump's black employee as a prop was a huge embarrassment. Just as awful as when Trump used that navy seal widow at his SOTU for an uncomfortable 10 minute applause.

Especially when there is zero legal consequence or even any real interest in how racist DT is. Just a completely empty and insignificant point.

I think it's hilarious that the colossal ego of Trump got him into this mess. The greatest infomercial of all time gone awry. Did people around him tell him that if he won the election he was going to eventually be in deep doo doo?

This one really stung you didn't it? I'm sorry to insult your favorite socialist overlord, but she still has this crown.

Although I agree it is a loaded field of candidates.

Basically the same thing that happened when Ventura won in Minnesota. He never expected to win but thought losing closely would be a career boost for his media presence. I'll say this for Ventura. He surrounded himself with some decent policy wonks and he took the job seriously. He still played the heel when it came to the press, but for the most part he campaigned as a "common sense moderate from outside the intelligentsia" and governed that way. For the most part, I think Trump looked at his supporters as consumers and built a message around market share believing (and I think hoping) he would come up short. I honestly think he is devoid of any substance.

Campaigning is easy. Governing is difficult. You just can't walk into a meeting of intelligent (for the most part) people and expect to wow them with things that are totally extraneous to the task at hand.

You are far too careful in your wording. Let me re-write that for you.

"You can't BS professional politicians and bureaucrats. Not for very long."

Most countries have a long, long history of populism of all sorts and they have seen the DJTs come and go. He doesn't fool them for one second. And that includes NK.

ps. The level of incompetence and preparation for the summit with NK was not only evident to me, but to the entire world. Trump, and by association the U.S.A., now has ZERO credibility when it comes to diplomacy on the world stage. Congratulations, MAGA world.

I agree that diplomacy takes a lot more honest preparation and willingness to listen to conflicting versions of the situation before making decisions. A professor of mine used to say "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail" and that pretty much sums up John Bolton. Diplomacy is a process that ideally produces results that last long beyond a single President's administration. Trump seems to believe he can simply walk in and make "deals." It doesn't work that way.

I'm not going to dog on Trump for reaching out to North Korea. I'm not going to dog on him for walking away. What I will dog on him for is somehow believing that as someone totally devoid of the vision necessary to accomplish something of this magnitude, he could get something done seamlessly. Dealing with Kim Jong-un isn't like dealing with a group of investors who get sticky pants simply when you shake their hands.

The current stance that DT is spouting is that NK hand over the entire nuclear program first, before any concessions from us, which is not gonna happen. If DT is such a maverick and great deal maker, I'm surprised that he didn't come up with some more creative options.

on top of Wednesday's testimony, we have no idea what was said yesterday in closed door Intelligence Committee interview.

I thought it was kind of a ridiculous statement, based on the composition of Congress—where there’s no shortage of genuine nitwits—and based on cherry-picked and misinterpreted statements, which could probably be similarly applied to nearly anyone in the body. And, I think it was a pretty good example of you telling on yourself.

You seem very defensive of our new socialist overlord. She is the boss though. She made it clear, she's in charge now. I better be careful not to criticize the socialists

You have some real issues with strong women.

LOL.

I think it's funny that Shumer is having to tell all his colleagues to vote present on the GND.

Like, why arent they all rushing to go on record in support?? Its brilliant legislation.

I think I'll have some fun putting together her greatest hits. I need a good laugh.

As for strong women? Give me Tulsi Gabbard... unfortunately she is a Russian spy obviously because she doesn't want to go to war with everyone.

Maybe we'll be able to keep this thread alive though.

OF course he is.
At this point GND is not a bill that has been vetted and scored.
It is an outline

But you knew that

Gabbard introduced legislation to completely de-carbonize the power grid and mandate zero-emissions vehicles by 2035.
