Around The Majors 2019

Lmao. Screw off with this mess, AA.

Also, if it's true, something like Greinke makes sense as to why we'd go light in another area.

Great, so this means the Braves can still take on a "really big salary".

I mean, the narrative that they can add significant payroll has been repeated all offseason. I think they are trying to avoid longer term commitments and revert to value... Just hasn't been a slam dunk out there. It may be worth reviewing who is out there on a noncontender that we could have swung for.

Hahaha. Way to cover the fan backlash for resigning Neck. We were gonna. I wanted to. Well if this didn’t happen things would be different.... Blah blah.

680 the fan is getting ready to play the AA interview

They are grilling AA and it is great...I can hear him squirming in his seat

I think he answered the question about bringing back Neck instead of signing Brantly..."sometimes players will sign for a number somewhere, but won't sign for that amount somewhere else."

Case in point, McCann...so I can accept that argument

Of course it is. Astros are a power house team all but guaranteed to make the playoffs.

Think Maddux taking less to join the Braves over the Yankees. Somewhat similar situation.

Chuck Oliver was going after AA in the interview. Listen to this. https://twitter.com/prospectsbraves/status/1111025367584854016?s=21

I will stick in AA's corner here.

If you think Chuck is bad, just read all the comments of "knowledgeable" braves fans on their Facebook posts.

In any other offseason Donaldson would have been a huge get, signing one of the most prolific offensive 3B in the game. I still like the flexibility AA has. And I'm actually excited to see Wright and Wilson show upstairs that they're ready to stay upstairs.

The Braves are a mid market payroll team at best. For many fans that hasn't sunk in yet. This ain't the Ted Turner Braves that can just compete for top FA's. I don't care how ninor extra profit the Battery brings in. It's not going to boost us to a top 5 payroll.

AA has taken a lot of backlash for his lackluster offseason. I could see a Kimbrel signing in the next week.

AA has made it clear in pretty much all of his interviews that he isn’t going to make a knee jerk move based on fan pressure. If Kimbrel gets signed it isn’t due to fan backlash.

I'm not! AA sat on his fanny and did NOTHING after Donaldson and McCann but talk about a 70% done fictitious trade and how this team is already over the 120+ million dollar mark from last season. All we're hearing is BS yet they're taking in more money than they have in yrs! They didn't have to trade all the young guys but they could've traded one or 2 of them and signed more vets. This was a terrible offseason and he knows it!
