@max.dragonard - To play the devil's advocate, if you have "at least 1/2 a brain and I'm tired of politicians lying to me," why didn't you check to make certain your insurance was up to the new standards so that you wouldn't lose your insurance? Why didn't you take some personal responsibility and provide for yourself?
To continue playing devil's advocate, you seem to be a willing participant. If, in fact, you are "tired of politicians lying to me, especially under the adage 'it's for your own good,'" then it seems to me you would have done something to determine whether or not you were in fact being "lied to." You didn't. So.... who's to blame for that? Hint: Not Obama.

you would have too had you been paying attention. There were minimums written into the bill since day one--- but hey, the website isn't flawless ... Obama's birth certificate, -------------------
Bottom line is the time you and your tribe spent bellyaching about death panels and socialists and whatever BS Rush told you to bellyache about -- you could have spent your time learning how this thing works and how it affected you and your family. But, I guess your masters told you it was going to be repealed -------------------
Again, if I get homeowners insurance that doesn't meet the criteria of the mortgage company -- I lose my loan / house etc. That is how the game works.
Not knowing that or simply not understanding what the President said does not make him a liar. Just makes you look like a dumb ass to everyone outside of your 35% bubble. That to this day still thinks Iraq was behind 9/11.
I don't listen to Rush. I was against the Iraq war in the first place. I thought the whole "birther" thing was a stupid waste of time. Just because I'm critical of the president doesn't make me a tea party member. I'm an independent, not a republican.
Also the website isn't just flawless, it doesn't work. It also cost more than facebook, instagram, linkedin, and twitter combined - yet it still doesn't work. How anyone is giving the administration a pass on this is beyond me given its importance to the actual law itself.
I do find it hilarious that now I'm a dumbass for "not understanding what the president said". The president repeatedly said prior to and after the law was enacted that premiums would go down $2500 (they aren't) and that if you liked your heath insurance, you could keep it (also not happening for a lot of people). That was how he sold the law to the American people. How the hell is that not understanding what he said?
President saying premiums going down $2500 a year
President repeatedly saying you can keep your doctor and health care plan.
(I don't care about the little links in the video, only the actual content of what the president said.)
Just because I disagree with the president does not mean I'm some fringe right wing lunatic as you seem to want to label anyone that disagrees with him. I've simply pointed out that I think he and his crew are liars, much like Bush and company.

In what is one of the greatest examples of crony capitalism in my life, the main company that produced the incomparable failure known as www.healthcare.gov turns out to have gained its share of the $678 million contract without facing competitive bids. That’s right. There were other companies that submitted bids, but those bids were not considered, or so initial reports indicate. Why no bids? We are not told.
Shocking that this was exactly what the libs wanted.
Of course Obama knew the insurance companies would raise the rates and cut off people's insurance plans. I knew the insurance industry would do it before the bill was even signed. I don't think some of you honestly believed him when he said it either, you're just making a big deal about it. I think it's an entirely different thing from Bush saying Mission Accomplished as some conservatives in the media have compared this to for some odd reason.
Best case scenario is we wait for this thing to get implemented, and the GOP will make mid-terms next year a referendum on Obamacare (again like they did last year).
If it ends up working out, then the GOP will bank their entire political capital on trying to stop it. If it ends up working out in a few months or even 10 months from now, Dems will win 2014.
