GDT 5/22/19 Braves @ Giants

Not sure those numbers are particularly shocking for players getting their first taste of the majors. Eloy's first 10 days? Rodgers'? Hiura's?

definitely not shocking or worrisome, but worth noting for now and it can't (and probably won't) continue.

Not quite sure what you are talking about .... look at all the future hall of gamers we have on this team

Freeman
Markakis
Acuña
Albies
Soroka
Fried
Riley

Then borderline HoFers
Folty
Newk
Flowers

This could be an all time team here!

i meant as far as Riley's development into a very good player goes...Riley could never hit the ball again and there's so much talent there that the team still shouldn't lose a game the rest of the season.

You’re reaching. Bad.
I’m not teaching. Kid just hit another.

I was just responding to the bat speed/swing path stuff. I don’t think he’s shown he can handle premium velocity. Do you? That doesn’t mean I think he’s a slow pitch softball player

You’re wrong on Riley and he’s proving it almost every night. Keith Law is that you?

What hitters can handle 99+?

92. Center cut

Has he put any good contact on 95 plus? Has hit a 92 plus not center cut?

Most MLB players have a hard time handling premium velocity...which is why premium velocity is so valuable.

Riley is obviously not going to post a 1.200 OPS for his career, and he may not have a bat as quick as Javy Baez, but he very clearly doesn't have "bat speed" issues.

He seems to have a bit of a long swing, and I'm sure pitchers will be able to take advantage to some extent. He may have to guess a bit to catch up to god velocity but it's not like he's going to regress to a AAAA hitter.
