2019 MLB Draft Thread

I know you don't typically draft for need in baseball, but outside of Williams Contreras, Braves don't have much in the way of catching prospects.
 
A lot of people seem to like the pick. I’m unsure. Not sure I would have gone this route but we will see where it goes.

These mother****ers didn’t even know who any but about 7 of these guys were before they woke up this morning.
 
We endured an awful season, had to mulligan the pick, and then spent it on a guy who has the ceiling of an average catcher!!!

There's probably others that could project higher in potential like Bishop, Carroll or Rutledge.

But i dont know enough about him to say he's horrible or not.

i’ve watched zero of them and have no detailed data on them. anything for people for panic and whine about tho. welcome to the internet i guess.
 
Reboot board is live. Got to admit, not impressed with rookie scouting director's first pick. Has a broken hamate bone in his left hand. Back in the day, that is the injury that derailed Bob Horner's career.
 
My only hope is you can go underslot at 21 and get Shea on an underslot deal.

Must have been those summer school classes that really engaged your brain!!
 
Langeliers is good. Lot of people being too hard on him. I get that it isn’t the sexy upside we’ve grown accustomed to drafting, but he’s a good player. Also worth noting that the hamate injury is real and those usually aren’t completely healed until the following season.

Just have to hope this comes with freed up money to use in the next few rounds.
 
I like how everyone knows who Shea is, after not watching him alot lol.

Monday morning QB never dissapoints.
 
I feel like everyone in this draft would go 10 or higher in last years draft. I just not impressed with anyone. I mean people were hoping a guy with the ceiling of dee Gordon fell to them. I liked the pitchers in this draft better. Hoping we can get one at 21. Manoah was my #9. He will be good.
