My guess is that they went DK over CK due to what CK was asking. Once the Cubs gave him what they did signing DK to a one year deal was an easy choice.

I would be shocked if it's anything more than a 4 month deal, possibly with an option for 2020...but probably just $10M+ for the rest of 2019.
