116th Congress

we don't know because they are by law (international I think) to be given physicals when taken into custody and when released.
Reports are that is not being done nor are the examinations in the public record to prove otherwise

the deeper this gets dug into the horrible r it gets

Geez, you actually brlieve that these kids are heapthy and then are dying in US custody? Come on now...

How dare they defy the socialist queen

The bar has been set so low now. I find it sad that the right has essentially used Holocaust survivors as pawns to turn the migrant detention center crisis into a dick measuring contest on who has suffered more.

Instead of sympathizing for these children for their suffering and inhumane treatment, it's just turned into another what about this and what about that. The fact the argument is now turned into "we suffered more!" shows just how low the right is willing to go to condone what they're doing.

Sad too, because you're usually the guy who speaks out on government atrocities but now you're just being played like a fiddle because you hate AOC and liberals that much. Then you wonder why people don't take your politics seriously anymore since Trump was elected.

It seems to me what is happening to these children (as a result of cooly crafted policy) is bad enough to matter a lot more to all of us than questions about whether comparisons to concentration camps are apt or not.

Lol that is not the point of what I posted. But rather that the holocaust museum had the audacity to challenge the socialist queen about an insane comparison to Nazi Germany and her army is mad about it

But perhaps if lefties stopped using the most insane hyperbole on every single issue their concerns would be taken more seriously. I still remember how I died from the Paris accords, net neutrality, the tax cuts, etc.

........

I've asked over and over again... what is the solution you would like to see?

Perhaps a good start would be shutting down the boarder to allow us to process these kids so we can get them out of the facilities. Would you be up for that?

It seems to me that we can accelerate the processing of their cases without shutting down the border. And I'm not even sure what shutting down the border means. Perhaps you can explain that.

I'm not saying that's the approach. But to me it seems like we have more people than we can manage which is causing the backlog and overcrowded facilities.

One idea is to stop taking new people until that backlog is solved.

Doesn't sound like you are up for that.

So I'll ask again, what is a tangible solution you would support

The amount of family units and minors coming across the broder is unprecedented. There needs to be changes in the law to fix the issue. Ultimately all individuals ahould stay in Mexico until processed.

I think the vast majority of these children have parents or other close relatives in this country eager to be reunited with them and able to take care of them. There is no need to make this matter more complicated than it is.

They are in custody due to a cooly crafted policy that seeks leverage by keeping these children in miserable conditions. The people responsible for that policy need to drop it.

I do support additional resources that will enable faster processing of the asylum claims.

So now the 'American Dream' means I get my dream paid for by others?

Is the only solution these losers ever propose is giving away things for free on the back of the responsible people?

So open borders? Skipping legal applicants?

Is this serious?

About to go find my 2 mil dream house.

Jesus the left is so stupid.

I dont think I called for open boarders...I do think the children should be released to their families and that the asylum claims should processed expeditiously

Why do children take precedence over legal applicants?

we can walk and chew gum at the same time...releasing the children to their families should not compromise our ability to do other things

Where does it end? How close of a familial relationship? From which countries?

This is absurd.

that's what laws are for...I believe we have laws for making these determinations...if you don't like the current set of laws get out and vote or run for office...thethe for dog catcher

We have a immigration system and the asylum loophole is being abused. It has to stop.
