I think thats fine. The problem as I see it is when you get into all this derp stuff. Whether you are right or wrong, it just makes you look like a an annoying 5 year old. I dont care about flaming people if its atleast done in an entertaining and creative way. This derp stuff is neither. Maybe you should make use of polls to show the person how wrong they are. Although I suspect many people would vote against you just to spite you.

How dare you. Mr. Derp is the most underappreciated character in South Park history.
 
Isn't Bonilla's deferment the kind of move that fans are always clamoring for their clubs to make?

They cleared a sunk cost salary, used the money to sign a rotation piece during a contention window. Ultimately helped land them in the World Series.

They ended up paying Bonilla a good deal more money than they otherwise would have, but his yearly stipends are not particularly significant hits against the payroll and when you factor time value of money into the equation it gets a little bit better.

Still funny, I guess.

At the time, Mets ownership was involved with a Bernie Madoff account that promised double-digit returns over the course of the deal, and the Mets were poised to make a significant profit -- if the Madoff account delivered. It did not.
