I think this is a picture of our J2 signings.
With that number to Estes, anyone know what the max we can offer Backstrom is?
If Estes is at $500k, that means $375k counts against the pool. TC had the Braves' remaining pool (pre-Estes) at $745,810, factoring the 5% permissible overage. That leaves $370,810 in the pool, and the Braves could offer that in addition to the $125k base—so, they can offer Backstrom up to $495,810 without penalty, if my quick-math and TC's spreadsheet are both correct.
Wow.
That’s a chunk for a later pick
he and Owens got 3rd round money
Morton, too, pretty much.

I’m starting to think we don’t get Backstrom but I hope I’m wrong. Kid could become a beast
There are a good many high school kids who are playing poker with the clubs. Locally, a 15th round pick of the Padres has said he is waiting for their final offer the final day before he decided pro or Miss. State.
I understand this... I just said I had a feeling. Didn’t say it was rooted in anything

I was just confirming that it's sound reasoning. We'll see soon enough.
It will shock no one to learn that the Braves failed to sign any of the top 30 international prospects. Please tell me this is the last shred of the Coppygate punishment.
