The Trump Presidency

It is worth looking at what other countries are doing that enables them to provide their citizens with solid health care without the high costs and financial risks associated with our system.

High administrative costs are a defining feature of our system. This strikes me as relatively low hanging fruit for any reform.

The late Martin Feldstein put forth a plan I liked a lot back in 2009 during the Obamacare debate.

They get our drugs for cheaper prices

There is something to that. The rest of the world does not provide as much in the way of financial incentives for innovation in medical care. And they get to free ride to some extent on the innovations developed here. Discounted ride might be a good way of describing it.

no one could have predicted that the party of

compromised Russian assets,

blackout-drunk rapist judges,

sex-trafficking plutocrats,

pedophile wrestling coaches,

concentration camp fanboys

and bone saw murder apologists

would also be the party of

greasy Ukraine shakedown defenders

.....

" but I'm a Libertarian"
at this point in history that only means you didnt have the balls to stand up when it was time for you to stand up

Giuliani: “I’m the true whistleblower; a real hero! I can’t wait to tell the American people the truth and expose the Democrats!”

Congress: “Would you like to appear before Congress, tell the American people the truth and expose the Democrats?”

Giuliani: “No thanks.”

I’d really love to take away the choice of, say, buying your insulin or paying your rent for the month.

What youre really saying is youd like to take the choice away from someone to charge what they want for their property/ideas/effort.

Who is John Galt?

Good luck encouraging the greatest minds to come up with the cure for the next disease.

wow

****ing wow

i'll take whatever stupid label you want to not be this

I really hope today's socialists take a look st some history and decide which side they want to be on

Yeah for real. Countries like Canada, Denmark, Sweden.... who wants to be like those countries? All safe and economically thriving. What **** holes.

I'm no "socialist" by any means, but there are plenty of examples of socialist ideas that are successful. Not to mention we have plenty of socialist endeavors already in use in our government currently, but whatever.

And then said companies sell them at rates people can't afford. Making such "life saving cures" completely null and void.

How do you reconcile companies making too much profit while also saying their product is too expensive for anyone to buy? Gilead for example, has basically eradicated Hep C. They dont make any more money on the drug bc there are no more patients left to cure.

These cures dont grow on ****ing trees. It takes billions of dollars and many years to get them to market. And on top of that, over 90% of drugs never make it to market.

You want these companies to risk billions of dollars with no upside of profiting from it?
