Political Correctness

I got two words for you...Mount Rushmore...now get to work

We had to stop construction because projections now show we will need more space to include The Don and Ivanaka and JR.

You guys are going to have a rough next 20 years.

Unless of course someone could make the claim a child understands what this decision means.

Then id like them to ask if they know what the child wants to eat tomorrow.

I thought the Democrats were the party of science? I guess biology isn’t a science anymore

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Gender-dysphoria/

it's not really a political issue...there are people on both the left and right who are uncomfortable with the topic

from the article

Gender dysphoria behaviours in children can include:
insisting they're of the opposite sex
disliking or refusing to wear clothes that are typically worn by their sex and wanting to wear clothes typically worn by the opposite sex
disliking or refusing to take part in activities and games that are typically associated with their sex, and wanting to take part in activities and games typically associated with the opposite sex
preferring to play with children of the opposite biological sex
disliking or refusing to pass urine as other members of their biological sex usually do – for example, a boy may want to sit down to pass urine and a girl may want to stand up
insisting or hoping their genitals will change – for example, a boy may say he wants to be rid of his penis, and a girl may want to grow a penis
feeling extreme distress at the physical changes of puberty

in the case of the child and family that I am friends with...I've known her (now he) since she was 3...she was a pre-school classmate of my son...we were (and still are) friends with the family and our kids shared playdates...in the case of the child in question I remember her pre-school teacher observing that she was "androgenous" because she preferred playing with the boys...at age 3...and as she grew older she insisted on wearing boys clothes and keeping her hair short...at some point it was discovered she had a cyst on her pituitary gland...this might have contributed to the way she felt growing up...but after it was removed she continued to feel the same way...now she is in her teens and has pretty much made the decision she wants to live as a man

i do think that for some kids the "tomboy" phase is just that...a phase...in other cases a woman can be "boyish" her whole life and still be a heterosexual woman...that obviously happens and we all know women like that...so i agree with those who advise caution about parents "locking in" their kids at too early an age if they express a gender identity that varies with their biological sex...but for some children the divergence from their biological sex is more persistent, insistent and consistent over time...i don't claim to know what the right age is for allowing medical intervention to take place in response to that...i think people of good will can discuss that...unfortunately that kind of discussion is not something i'm expecting from some of the posters around here

There is no good faith when discussing a 7 year old. Stop trying to create a sceanrio where that makes sense.

i will be interested to see what the judge rules in this case...as i understand it the issues before the judge and jury have to do with things like custody and visitation rights...the "news organizations" and people like you that have propagated this story have chosen to frame it in terms of "child abuse"...so forgive me for having some doubts about YOUR good faith

Seven years old man. Seven.

Please dont tell me you are so blinded by rage now that there is even a remote possibility where this makes sense.

the kid is 7...the jury turned down the father's bid for custody...and from that we get "child abuse"...that's quite a leap even by your usual feeble standards of logic

I dont care about the custody battle. I care about the mental state of this seven year old.

Fathers are always disadvantaged in custody battles as well.

Please continue your consulting work for the DNC in the impeachment trials. Havent seen a new research article in 6 minutes so you're falling behind

What constitutes child abuse, in your TDS mind?

Forcing a 7 year old to take drugs to stop puberty doesnt qualify?

in principle forcing a 7 year old boy to do this without extensive input from medical professionals would be wrong and a form of child abuse...i would add that if the mother was contemplating such a thing the state would be justified in intervening (which i realize is in conflict with claims of "liberty" for parents to raise their kids as they see fit)

what i see in this particular case is a ruling in a child custody case...so far...that's what the jury ruled...the judge was supposed to rule on other issues yesterday but that was put off until today

i think you, thethe and others have made an enormous leap in logic in extrapolating from a custody ruling about a 7 year old to child abuse
