We are officially in full panic mode and I think that may be a good thing. Strong social separation is taking place before this thing gets way out of control. Based on what I've read the biggest key is to have enough hospital care for those who need it. Hopefully by panicking now that will slow the spread enough to not have issues here.
The word "panic" is used a lot but I suspect that one person's panic is another person's logical and necessary action. I've heard much talk of panic but seen very little, but I live in Japan and people here are easily corralled, compared to Americans, and largely behave in socially responsible ways without being asked.
Besides panic buying of toilet goods, I'm curious what people on here would call examples of social panic. Is testing as many people as possible "panic"? How about the gross misrepresentation of basic facts? Probably not, as that seems to be business as usual for this administration, though it does add to the sense of confusion.
One remedy for panic is flooding the airwaves with good, consistent, practical information that even numbskulls can use to education themselves and their actions.
Trump should not be allowed near a microphone, which seems as obvious as anything.
