Neverending **** the Police thread.

Two wrongs don't make a right. The government using violence is all the more reason to answer with non violence. Gandhi, the Civil Rights Movement, Apartheid. The single most effective strategy against government oppression and violence is non-violence.

Learn from history!

take a knee on national TV ?

I wish the protestors were all simply taking a knee ala Kaepernick, but honestly you can't expect people to all act like saints.

Why should anyone have confidence that this policeman will be convicted and serve time? If the process were fair people wouldn't be so angry and fed up.

And when he does get sentenced to multiple years will prople think racism is over? Of course it won't be.

The line you just spewed is just another talking point to keep POC enraged to get free votes.

Yeah I dont like the stand there and let them beat the **** out of me strategy so I can have the moral high ground. There is only 1 thing that will spark change and that is for this to get so large and destructive it forces change. I dont think any io you understand the magnitude or scope of corruption in law enforcement.

Interesting read. A movement for social change resorting to violence is exactly what the established order wants. It reduces participation and puts the movement on the same playing field as the existing order. That's a game the existing order almost always wins.

This is standard playbook for the left. Have to keep the blacks on the plantation.

They are super nervous many are flipping to a more centric right viewpoint.

Is the magnitude greater than centuries of British military rule? Greater than a hundred years of institutionalized discrimination? Greater than centuries of tyranny by a small elite class?

Those were taken down by non-violence. Face it, the government has more guns and more hard power than any movement could have. You can't win that way.

If the sentencing was equal it would help a ton. Amber Guyger 10 years. Muhammed Noor 12 years. Anyone has done the same thing to them would have got life if not the death penalty. They also need to stop delaying arresting officers to "gather evidence". There is never a need to "gather evidence" before arresting someone that killed a cop.

So are you saying non violent protest just hasnt been tried?

Get away [garbled] for what? Every time you see me, you want to mess with me. I'm tired of it. It stops today. Why would you...? Everyone standing here will tell you I didn't do nothing. I did not sell nothing. Because every time you see me, you want to harass me. You want to stop me [garbled] selling cigarettes. I'm minding my business, officer, I'm minding my business. Please just leave me alone. I told you the last time, please just leave me alone.[40]
