Bolton book

“At the opening dinner of the Osaka G20 meeting in June 2019, with only interpreters present, Xi had explained to Trump why he was basically building concentration camps in Xinjiang,” Bolton writes, according to an excerpt published in the Wall Street Journal.

“According to our interpreter, Trump said that Xi should go ahead with building the camps, which Trump thought was exactly the right thing to do. The National Security Council’s top Asia staffer, Matthew Pottinger, told me that Trump said something very similar during his November 2017 trip to China.”

I don't like Trump and have no doubt he's done and said plenty of terrible things. That being said, I never believe Washington tell all books. Someone writing such a book wants to sell said book. You don't sell books with positive stories. You sell books with scandal and dirt.

Also, dumbest thing Trump can do is fight this book. He should have just mocked it as the lies of someone with an axe to grind and who is trying to make a buck.

LOL! I need to write a book that states that a teen-aged Trump was the actual shooter in the JFK assassination. Half of you on here would believe it. I guarantee it if Trump was doing underhanded **** with China Bolton wouldn't know about it.

6 months ago the left hated Bolton and now they are going to quote him and act like he’s telling the truth?

Okay, these are first person accounts by the guy Trump personally hired. So who will you believe? Not his personal lawyer Michael Cohen? Not the Generals he hired to be Chief of staff? Are you going to have this level of skepticism about every President going forward?

And they still dont like him. Do we determine the validity of witness statements against the Clinton's and Biden on how much Republicans liked that witness?

If you were actually a witness to anything people might take your account seriously. Bolton was in these meetings.

Or you write books because you weren’t allowed to testify and you never got a chance to tell your side of the story and your name was dragged through the mud simply because you had the balls to speak up

Do you understand how PR works?

Do you understand that you're full of it? One person who was there who is trying to sell a book is the one to be believed vs the one who has little money in the game. You believed the pee tapes existed, didn't you? LOL!

An axe to grind doesn't make what he says more reliable.

Every word of the book could be gospel truth. I don't know. I just find it far better to ignore Washington tell all books.

First rule is to never buy into what disgruntled employees have to say.

The point is he didn’t have an axe to grind until he was silenced... would have been nice to hear if he would have said the same stuff under oath but we couldn’t hear that because Trump was scared to death of what he would say and blocked it

No argument there. Im just pointing out in the face of the inevitable tittering that will happen about this book that Washington tell alls are long form tabloids.

Actually not true. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/tr...tle-chance-blocking-bolton-testimony-n1125721 The truth is that Bolton refused to testify and said he would sue if he was subpoenaed. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...-in-impeachment-probe-committee-idUSKBN1XH2BU This is why Schiff is mad at Bolton. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...iot-despite-disclosures-in-memoir/ar-BB15Ddgg
This was all about the money for Bolton. Do you see why I don't trust him?
