The damage done to kids aged 5-12 is incalculable.

All to save older peolle who more than likely would have died within the next couple of years.

What doss our society actually value here?
 
If not fully opening, I’d look to do some kind of hybrid where you start by bringing back the youngest groups of kids first - older kids are more likely to get some value out of virtual learning than younger kids, plus getting younger kids physically back in school helps their parents get back to work.

I just read the economic proposal he released last week and I don't see how you can read that other than vanilla center left with a dash of populist socialism ("BUY AMERICAN").

All 3 of my kids are in that range!

Our school is doing some kind of hybrid. I'll get full details on monday.
 
My 3 kids are HS senior to graduate school. Their brains have already been damaged.

I'd think K-5 would probably be more effective and realistic going back in person. They would lose the most by going virtual.

I think this is a no brainer.

I'd be looking at a 20k dent in the budget off the rip going private.

We will, but hadn't planned or set up to do that until 6th for both.
