The Mets rotation can never stay healthy.
So the Blue Jays were denied being able to play home games at PNC in Pittsburgh by the DOH because they don’t want additional travelers to the area. But the Pirates can still play there and have different teams traveling into the area for games? Doesn’t make sense.

Adding a second home team and subsequent visiting team adds double the amount of players traveling into the area. Pittsburgh doesn’t want an additional 30 games of teams coming in to their state.

DeGrom was also pulled in his previous start, he's fine, but he might be limited to less than normal in this one.
We get a break early here since we play the Mets twice in the first 10 days and likely only get DeGrom once and miss Stroman twice since he's injured.
Pirates players live in Pittsburgh (at least part of the year) and pay taxes there.
Don't blame the city at all - I'm not interested in a bunch of people coming here to visit from Florida, Texas, Arizona, and California right now.

Blue jays are talking with the Os about sharing their stadium.
Only other option would be to play the season completely on the road. With no fans in the stand there’s less of a home field advantage.

No need to fret about this season then, if that happens.
I would be fine with that for this season, but wouldn’t like it in a normal season.

He's gotta watch out, people of his advanced age are high risk.
Soto had been in quarantine due to coming into contact with someone that had it. He had tested negative multiple times while in quarantine so this was his first positive test I believe. Seems like he's on the front end of this so he might be out awhile.
That's the interesting part of all this IMO. Actually he tested negative a week ago today when he was allowed to join the team and start practicing. Then he spends 7 days hanging out with no one other than other players and coaches who are regularly being tested/having their temps taken/etc. EXCEPT when he goes home???
Either he's been hanging out somewhere he shouldn't be after workouts or the MLB protocols are TERRIBLY suspect.

They are doing all they know to do. Officials are afraid to say they think they know what needs to be done, but they don't really. No ones got a handle on this thing at ALL.
Actually at least helps our chances a bit this year in the event everything doesn't go as hoped. Agreement states qualifiers are...

If there was ever a year that "just get there 'cause the playoffs are gonna be a crapshoot" rang (or ever will ring) more true it's hard to imagine when that was or will be. Just get there, add Pache, Waters, Shewmake, Contreras, and Anderson to the playoff roster, and get hot.
