Correct. But he’s an FA this off-season, which I think was initially the context in which his name was dropped; somehow we seamlessly moved to mid-season acquisitions without noting he’s still currently under contract.

I blame Fearless Leader. Time for him to take responsibility for something.

With these new expanded playoffs, who even knows who will be a seller. The majority of the teams will probably be within striking distance until close to the end. Except for the known rebuilding teams like Marlins, Giants, Royals, Mariners, Orioles, Tigers, Pirates.

I feel like a case could be made everyone but the Orioles, Tigers, and Mariners should wait and see.

I would not use resources on this stupid season anyway, but the rotation prolly gonna need some help at some point if not.

I never said he was on drugs. I said that pic reminded me of friends I had back in college. That was the only time I ever saw someone’s face get that skinny in that short of time. When I saw those side by side it made me think of them and that sort of made me sad when I saw first hand the spiral they went down. That is why I said my last line so no one would think I was suggesting that. I hope that Folty is right in the head and it is something else other than depression or drugs for this quick release by the org. Maybe he just sucks and is a club house distraction. But we all think there is some thing other than just being bad for a start to get his walking papers this early in the season.

And I can’t believe I said wait and not weight. Why didn’t any of the nerds roast me for that.

I was just spitballing potentially average or better guys approaching free agency who might be available in trade. I'm not sure anyone is ready to do that right now. I don't think I would trade major assets to try and win this season.

I do think trading for cost controlled mid-rotation piece with control past this season suddenly because a higher priority than it was.

I'm not sure Cashner is really much of a bet to be better than Chacin or Tomlin or whatever rookie of the day we want to try. Maybe worth a shot though. Why not?

She might be right on the "no direction" comment. I haven't watched the action for other teams, but a lot of the Braves's players look like they are totally out of sync.

What direction were they supposed to give them? “Yo, make sure stay in game shape and stuff. Like, seriously guys, keep working out and doing baseball-related activities while you’re off. We can’t stress this enough... please?”

I definitely don't think it is drugs now. Everyone knows when someone is on drugs their spouse is the first to know, and they tell everyone immediately whenever it is questioned.
