The Coronavirus, not the beer

So is 1,900 new cases (or whatever the number is) over 30 days is a huge spike to you? Please tell me what you think of Florida right now? Or since you believe in conspiracy theories, may be Hawaiian officials are cooking their books like FL to make Trump look bad. That's gotta be it.

Looks like Miami is driving this increase and they've had a very strict mask mandate since at least July 1st.

Melbourne mask mandate doesn't seem to be stopping large spikes... now they are pushing much more strict movement restriction

it is worth noting that mask mandates seem to have been helpful in turning things around in Arizona and Texas...I think Abbott has actually shown some good laidership the last couple months...and Ducey has at least been willing to give local governments more flexibilty...hope DeSantis is watching

You realize new cases have actually gone down since mid July don't you? Want to take a guess at how long it takes between infection and reporting? If only there was some sort catalyst as to why new cases went down in AZ, TX, and FL after mask mandates were put into place. Hmmm.... if only.

Mississippi reporting lowest case total since July 13th. 7-day avg continues to drop... big next 2 days to see if trend continues.

I mean... the post I quoted was from you saying there is a massive spike in Florida right now.

Now you're saying its been declining for half a month?

anecdotally, i feel there is a huge portion of false results out there.

At least thats some of the feedback from the docs of late.

When we tested positive for Covid, we were told the false positive rate was less than 2%...

Now with the number of false positives that have been reported with MLB, I am beginning to question that number.

Florida still averaging about 9k cases per day, and you're wanting to bring up 1,200 (or whatever the number is) over a month for Hawaii. LOL.

Local docs telling patients its probably about 10% on the low side they believe.

Hawaii reported 206 new cases today. That's their biggest total to date; next closest is 124 on July 30th.

What kept Hawaii safe is also what makes it risky. Small remote areas can get ran through hard with stuff like this. THat's what makes me nervous as the area I live is pretty remote but as tourists flock to it we're seeing places south of us get hit with COVID closures.

All the lessons of exponential growth went out the window the second the orthodoxy on masks were questioned.

Just further proof a certain someone abandoned facts and reason for TDS long ago.
