The Coronavirus, not the beer

If they were armed I would say that was the most American thing I have ever seen. From an atheist point of view that is bat**** crazy, and no, not the part that you probably think is crazy about this.

While true, Remdesivir has been around since 2009 and has been used in the Ebola outbreaks. So it isn't like this a brand new drug. There's been ample enough time to recoup R&D costs.

Treating Ebola outbreaks in Africa isn't exactly a huge money maker. It takes more than a drug being available with some use to recoup investment.

Ultimately, the original tweet was trying to make it seem like the pricing of Remdesivir was $1 cost to manufacture and $1,199 profit. It's way more complicated than that. There's undoubtedly a large profit margin there but the original tweet was extremely misleading.

The curve on the left is NY. The curve on the right is Florida.

Why is New York "succeeding " now? Because they failed spectacularly before. The virus plowed through their citizens resulting in the world's worst death rate.

Florida is doing precisely what the health experts said was necessary to avoid disaster.

I'm pretty sure Gilead won't be making much money on this either... its why their stock hasn't moved while the market has flourished (im an investor in gilead)

Since Cuomo is mandating statewide quarantines, I wonder if Trump might have been ahead of the curve on this one. He shoulda listened to Trump in March.

LOL

I see no more commentary on the 'conspiracy' where cuomo is lying about how manu nirsing home deaths there were in the city.

Health commissioner couldn't even dismiss 150% more than the number given.

Let's never forget how big pharma and the left killed tens of thousands of Americans.

I wonder what makes the official Talley when a patient tests positive and negative.

We can all probabaly guess though.

Locally there’s growing sentiment from our local docs that false positives represent maybe 15% of cases right now maybe more.

I’m not sure why testing is being looked at as a saving grace. It isn’t a cure, if you feel bad or have been exposed you stay home for 10-14 days.

Imagine what a disaster contact tracing is when you layer on the fact there are so many false positives?

Sunbelt turning over at a fraction of the death rate in the northeast

America is a bunch of pussies now.

The fear over a virus that kills basically nobody under 65 is hilarious.

Abolish government education.

Teachers are trash when they have no fear of their jobs loss.

In reality parents will be so fed up by the teachers unions that private schools will have a boom like never before.

Only a fool or families not give an alternative option sends their kids to public education. Soon their will be a push to move more and more funds away from public education and the indoctrination of our youth will end.

Will twitter censor Biden for giving false information?

Ok...we all know the answer to that.

A friend's wife spent a lengthy period of time in ICU and nearly died. She never tested positive for Covid-19 but exhibited all the now classic symptoms. Her doctors, rightfully in my opinion, diagnosed her as having Covid-19. The test can be helpful but with as many false positives and with false negatives as there are, they aren't some gold standard.
