The Coronavirus, not the beer

For one, no one said mistakes weren't made. But again, everyone was learning on the fly and had no time to prepare. NY politicians attitude was literally the same as Trump's regarding business as usual. I'm not sure why you're still harping on that when Trump literally was saying and doing the same types of things at the same time. The vast majority of NY deaths were not nursing home deaths. So deaths would still be insanely high regardless if there were zero nursing home deaths.

We don't even know the true number of nursing home deaths in NY because Cuomo is a slimeball.

This is the wrong reason to attack the initial tweet. The tweet saying that Remdesivir costs $1 to produce is extremely misleading. Drugs aren't priced on their cost to manufacture. Drug companies have a short window of time where they hold the patent and have to recoup their entire R&D and testing costs during that window as well as make a profit. Thee $1 a dose doesn't account for that.

While true, Remdesivir has been around since 2009 and has been used in the Ebola outbreaks. So it isn't like this a brand new drug. There's been ample enough time to recoup R&D costs.

LOL, ok. Back to conspiracy theories again I see when facts don't support your argument. It's like wash, rinse, repeat with you,

Its not a conspiracy. You just aren't following.

They refuse to inform the public how many people contracted the virus in nursing homes but later died in a hospital.

Yiu really need to get better news sources if you aren't aware of this basic fact.

You all are just going to ignore that Englad just reduced their coronavirus death toll by 4k arent you?

Our local hospital is using it with what they believe is nice results.

Because what happens in England isn't representative of what happens in other countries?

If China has lied about 20k COVID deaths, does that mean the rest of the world has lied about thousands of deaths too?

Oh we will get revisions at some point. We already saw texas reduce their total by over 200.

You of course were silent on that.

And we have seen other 'revisions' at other states albeit in smaller amounts.

Weird how you chose to glance over this response...

Just easier to close your eyes and scream CONSPIRACY!!!

We've also seen TX and pretty much every other state, add to their totals from previous months that didn't get properly reported.

Much ire was voiced over inconsistencies in the DOH’s data reporting, including the department’s decision to stop reporting nursing home resident deaths occurring in hospitals midway through the pandemic, in May.

“It’s my opinion that your administration’s definition truly misrepresents the scale of this crisis as a result. So let’s try and get the full picture here and now: how many of New York’s nursing home residents died in hospitals?” asked Skoufis.

Pressed Skoufis, “You don’t have a ballpark that you can give? So the total official number is about 6,500. Are we talking with the hospital deaths: 8,000? 10,000? 15,000? What are we looking at?”

Zucker again declined to commit.

“I’m not prepared to give you a specific number. We are in the middle of a pandemic obviously, we always forget about that sometimes,” he said. “We are looking at all the numbers, we are looking at the data, when the data comes in and I have an opportunity to piece through that, then I will be happy to provide that data to you and to the other members of the committee.”

A "conspiracy"?

What a joke of a comment.

Thats not adding from my understanding. Its properly dating deaths from date of death as opposed to date of reporting.

Unless you have information to counter this then its yet another example how you arent educated on whats actually happening.

Governor of Ohio apparently tested positive right before meeting Trump in Cleveland. I wonder if Trump has considered getting it on purpose and hope for sympathy to help his poll numbers.

Right. It's why the current drug/insurance racket is a sham.
