GDT: Braves @ Red Sox 9/1; #MyNewAce's follow up

some more really good curves in this AB.

One fastball up and go right back to the well

Anderson is putting on a clinic on how to execute with the stuff you have.

Snit left him in about 2 batters too long and he responded.

He was off a bit but it was a series of singles none of which were exactly crushed. A little luck and he could have gotten through it unscathed. He looks pretty solid to me. Not great, but better than anyone we have right now not named Max Fried.

I wasn't talking about the quality of contact or results... I was just talking about control... in the 3rd he was having a tough time locating. All other innings, he's been pretty solid control wise.

Anderson looks the part.

Not sure who we have available in the pen tonight. Smith, Martin, MM all went last 2 games. Greene, Minter, and Luke?

Get hamels healthy, and maybe we have a decent shot in playoffs when you consider the depth of the pen

Impressive start by Anderson. Good to see him not struggle with bad hitters. Wright would have walked the last two who struck out.

I know we make fun of “He just knows how to pitch”, but Touki and Wright and Newk are proof that you can have stuff and suck.

command and tunneling will make your stuff play up that's for sure

The CU looked better tonight, and he was absolutely burying it down in the zone late.

That's exactly how a guy with #4 stuff produces like a #3.

If the CU really has improved, that's no longer #4 stuff.

It's a cliche because it's true. The mocking comes when folks use it as another way of saying the guy has bad stuff.
