Playoffs discussion 2020

The game will be at 6pm in here Italy, a bit too early even for me, but acceptable, LOL.

In theory, our preferred schedule would be when temps are higher, right? Like 2pm to 5pm... for our offense, I mean.

On the other hand, I read the Reds rely mostly on the long ball for their runs, so not sure that would be an advantage.

Whatever, I really hope we advance after so many consecutive blows (but already feel we'll find a way not to). Also because, normally, our offense isn't good in the playoffs (nobody remembers the "MVP candidate" performance last year?). Or 2003?

In general, going all the way is very difficult with 3 inexperienced starters, I felt we had way more chances last year.

This year, it's just amazing they kept winning with all the rotation going down in order, everytime it felt like it was over, and they kept sending good arms to the mound... this organization is really good and all of us fans must be proud of it,

Do you (or anyone else) know if MLB.tv will have those games available after they are over? Might go full social media blackout during the game and watch it after work if so.

No clue. Normally games are archived 90 minutes after they are done but I'm not sure how it works in the playoffs. I know I won't be able to use mlb.tv to watch it live which is something they always do in the playoffs. I guess we will find out tomorrow if they put up the archive games for normal mlb.tv subscribers.

Thank you. If not, looks like youtube.tv is an option.

Braves are Vegas favorite Wednesday from -135 to -160

Hate to say it but if I was a betting man I'd bet against Atlanta. Bauer and Castillo in a short series with the Braves pitching not exactly on fire at the end of the season has me thinking it may be another quick exit.

I've been thinking about the catching situation lately and I think I'm leaning toward starting Flowers and DH'ing TD with Ozuna shifting to left. 2020 OPS by catcher - TDA: .776; Flowers: .671.

I'm thinking: Acuna CF - Freeman 1B - Ozuna LF - TD DH - Albies 2B - Duvy RF - Swanson SS - Riley 3B - Flowers C

I doubt Snit goes for it, but I'd be down.

I'd give markakis a go. With the Rh starters of Cincinnati, just gotta hope markakis' Sunday was a sign of life.

Let's hope Snit doesn't stack the lineup with RHH vs the Reds RHP, all the while suffering with Ozuna's OF defense to make it happen.

My god...

Heading into this post season kind of gives me the 2018 feeling. That year we were not expecting to do anything, especially going against the Dodgers. This season, although we are the 2 seed, I feel like we are 1 and done

Flowers hasn't been hitting any better than Markakis (plus, Markakis showed a LITTLE life yesterday), and I would rather have Markakis fielding than Ozuna.

Acuna CF
Freeman 1B
Ozuna DH
Albies 2B
TDA C
Markakis RF
Duvall LF
Swanson SS
Riley 3B

That's what I would go with for Game 1. If Markakis and Riley look like ****, then you play with it for Game 2.

This is almost certainly the squad vs the Reds.

I'd like to see Albies in the 3 spot with Ozuna 4, and Swanson in the 9 hole in front of Acuna, but as long as those guys are in roughly those spots the offense is correct.

I'd also like to see Snit PH correctly for Markakis and/or Riley at some point, though the bench options are pretty poor, so it's not a huge deal.

Interesting point about the PH. Do we even have an option to pinch hit for Riley or Markakis? Hechevarria could hit for Markakis but then you'd need to sub Infante in to play OF also. Riley who would you pinch hit with if anyone?
