Trump Covid

there is laidership and there is stupid laidership...2 different things

Like I said, "his way".

Btw, the WH is in chaos with staff unaware of whether they're supposed to show up or not. The SS, masked and still standing silent guard along the hallways must be really enjoying this moment of schadenfreude. I'll admit that I have felt a tinge myself.

He's right. He, nor I am saying go around licking door knobs, but the vast majority of Americans are not in immediate danger of this virus. I wear my mask when I'm in a situation that calls for it, but my wife and I have been going on weekend trips like every other weekend in a 4.5 hr radius. Some cities are waking up while others appear to be in hibernation. Noticed Nola has reopened bars, so I'll be there soon for a hurricane at pat o's. Cheers, life is short, and hiding out as a low risk seems a poor choice of time.

I basically agree, but I think the way he's framing it is dishonest and irresponsible in his position. I know very few who who have let it "dominate" their lives.

dishonest framing is what it is...daughter's birthday is coming up this weekend and we've made plans to meet in the city for brunch...but we will take certain measures to reduce risk that we wouldn't have even considered in pre-pandemic times

To be fair, I only know a few myself. Interestingly, my sister and her husband are a couple. They've essentially locked down... work, pickup at Walmart, and took kids out of school. I don't agree with them.

we are learning how to adapt to the risks of covid...but dear lairder has been singularly unhelpful in guiding us through the process

Wow, that guy is wishing that on our president. I really hope politics never dominate my life to the point where I wish ill will on anyone, much less people I don't even know personally.

i'm sorry...i don't see any such wish...you seeing something that aint there...

which makes me wonder about your little homily about hoping politics never dominating your life to the point...where you see things that simply aint there?

its certainly a lot more subtle than say #hussein or #lockherup

the guy took a little poetic license cuz you know crump and trump have similar sounds...he could have thrown in dump for good measure

y'all misreading the room as far as us anti-very poorly chosen one folks go....we want the guy to live to 100...we would like him to face the music...is that wishing ill on someone?

let me know if you every posted a complaint about those

I haven't. I don't support that crap though... it's stupid. Cruz was always my guy. I support trump strictly bc I dread the alternative. I certainly am not blind to his childish behavior though.

if he ain't around election night i will feel cheated

if he ain't around January 20 i will cheated

if he ain't around for the indictments and trials i will feel cheated

if he ain't around to hand back that "refund" to the IRS i will feel cheated

my strong wish is for him to have good health and a long life

If you have that luxury, it's not a horrible decision. Most people don't have the luxury of doing those things though.

This is preposterous.

Half the countrys kids are not in school.

Unemployment has tripled.

NYC is completely shutting down (again).

I haven't gone to my office in 8 months.

Pretending like this hasn't dominated our lives is a fantasy.

Hell look at this thread.

you and very poorly chosen one continue with the dishonest framing...the main things we should be doing (wearing a mask, social distancing, avoiding crowded situations) are actually quite non-intrusive and low cost...good adherence to these measures would reduce the more intrusive and high-cost things such as disruptions to the education of our children...it ought not to be difficult as a society to come to some sort of consensus that being able to open schools safely is more important than going to a bar

but for ideological reasons you and others continue to prefer framing things as a choice between doing nothing ("herd mentality") and hiding in a cave
