You don't understand, Cuomo is the expert on handling this! If Trump had violated the Constitution and ordered every state to do what NY did we would all be so much better off. Haven't you read the book Cuomo wrote while running a state with the highest mortality rate during a pandemic?

AOC, Amash, Paul, Massie, etc are right.

It is ridiculous that 3 people (Pelosi, Cocaine Mitch, and treasury secretary) decide behind close doors what the bill will be. They don't let congress weigh in, they don't let them read it, they must just vote. If they vote against, they get villified, lose committee seats, and primaried.

We do not have a representative government at all.

I've been reading Amash's threads on it. It really is an oligarchy. And it would be better to allow the rank and file to have input via amendments. And certainly time to read and digest these massive bills. Too easy to sneak in extraneous items.
 
I know people are against funding for museums and the arts, but they do pay for themselves over time.

The construction creates jobs, and the merchandise and memorabilia they sell always have pretty good profit margins. The national parks are the same way. They are the best government programs that people actually use.

We should pass construction on a Smithsonian Museum of the Confederate States of America. Even charge admission. Will sell tickets like hotcakes.

Those museums are not what I was referring to when I said extraneous items. I think they went through the appropriations process. This bill being passed today combines the final appropriations bill and the covid stimulus provisions.

Blaming this on Trump is stupid as he has nothing to do with it. He would have signed anything... and he was asking for $2K directly to the people.

The only people in this country happy about this are the political establishment. Your girl, Nancy turned down $1.8T a few months ago in a political calculation to get rid of Trump.

I suppose that worked.
