Hello postseason pinch runner.
Camargo has 2 option years remaining, which is something I did not know.
IB
As things currently stand, and assuming Ender is still a MLB caliber CF, I think my preference would be:
BN1 backup catcher
BN2 Lamb
BN3 Heredia
BN4 Kipnis
BN5 backup SS and/or RHH
AAA Pache
AAA Camargo
I feel like if we look at the OF moves we’ve made it should tell us that we’re setting ourselves up to have a Waters Pache Acuna outfield in 2022 at the latest.
You're going to have to explain this, because I'm not sure how any of "the OF moves we've made" tell us anything about Drew Waters, one way or the other. I think all we can really glean from those aforesaid OF moves is that: (a) Anthopoulos doesn't expect there to be a DH in the 2021 NL, after all, and (b) Anthopoulos expects Inciarte to show enough bare-minimum athleticism in ST to hold down the CF fort for the first month, platooning with someone like Heredia, and thereby buying another year of pre-FA Pache.
Think you have to go one step further and say the OF competition is wide-open.
TBH, it's pretty hard to say any of the pickups tell us ANYTHING. The hodgepodge of guys "could" pave the way to Pache being sent down to start the season, but given the warts they all have there's a legitimate chance that Pache and Waters look so much better than every OF in camp not named Acuna, Ozuna, or Riley that they win jobs.
In further fact, I'd say it's about 100x likelier we see Braden Shewmake break camp with the bigboy Braves than Drew Waters.
I don't think I have to take that step, at all.
In fact, I'm going to take a step in the other direction and say—barring injuries to multiple OFs—there's no way we see Waters break with the major-league team, and only the smallest of chances we see him in Cobb County at any point in 2021. I'm not as low on him as some, but his underlying numbers in AAA in 2019 were pretty damn terrible, and it seems heinous not to give him another full year there to see if he can work towards actually showcasing any plate-discipline.
In further fact, I'd say it's about 100x likelier we see Braden Shewmake break camp with the bigboy Braves than Drew Waters.
Are talking about Shewmake for opening day this year?
Wow, you guys are bored.
starving for a morsel from Bowman
I think it’s time to move on from Camargo now and use his money on someone more useful.
That’s like hoping for a ray of sunshine from a black hole.

I’m just saying it’s more likely than Waters starting 2021 in Cobb Coubty, not that’s it’s isolatedly likely, or otherwise wise.
